ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF DIFFERENT JOBS

Objectives of the activity:

Students recognize the jobs from a few descriptive elements (Step1)Students reflect on the features of the jobs and decide on the

advantages and disadvantages they might involve (Step2)Students put up boards to illustrate their conclusions (Step3)Students present and explain the different elements on the boards

to their peers (Step 4)

STEP1Procedure:1. Each student receives a job card containing descriptive elements

that will lead to their recognition of a job.2. Students form groups according to their respective cards.

I use markers or chalk.I work in a school.I have students.I give homework.

Procedure:In their groups, students discuss about the jobs and decide what their advantages and disadvantages might be.

STEP 3

Procedure:Students put up boards to illustrate the conclusions of their discussions

STEP 4Procedure:Students present and explain the different elements on their boards to their peers.
