  • A Note from the:

Ministry of the Most Holy Rosary of the Diocese of Fresno Celebrating 100 Years of Our Lady of Fatima, the Lady of the Rosary

and the 50th Year Anniversary of the Diocese of Fresno. SIEMPRE ADELANTE! 2017 and Beyond!

On March 25, we commemorate the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord. During this holy encounter, as soon as the Blessed Virgin Mary gave her "Fiat" to the Archangel Gabriel, "the Holy Spirit, 'the Lord, the giver of Life', is sent to sanctify the womb of the Virgin Mary and divinely fecundate it, causing her to conceive the eternal Son of the Father in a humanity drawn from her own." (Catechism of the Catholic Church # 973, 485, & 461, respectively). Thus, the Incarnation of the Son of God became a reality. Submitting Himself to the mercy of His creature for nine months, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, willed to become a helpless, voiceless unborn baby, living inside Mary's womb before being born into earthly poverty. (Luke 1:31). We therefore conclude that the Womb is the most sacred part of a Woman's body because God Himself dwelt in it . Mary became the human tabernacle for the Living Bread that came down from Heaven (John 6:51). We, too, become a human tabernacle at Holy Communion after receiving Jesus Christ Himself, the sacred host that was consecrated at Holy Mass (CCC # 1413). Mary is the new “Ark of the Covenant,” (Revelation 11:19-12:1-2, CCC # 2676), who is the Mediatrix of All Grace because through her Fiat, Jesus Christ, Who is true God, existing through all eternity, entered time and became true man in the Womb of the Virgin Mary. The Source of all grace passed through the Mediatrix of all grace. (CCC # 2676, 969) Mary invites us to take and eat the Blessed Sacrament, her Son, Who is True God and True Man and to adore Him in His Real Presence. As we meditate on the Joyful Mysteries of the most holy rosary, may we be compelled to ask God Our Father in the name of Jesus Christ His Son and through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary to increase our Faith and Gratitude at the Incarnation of His Son, Who we can receive into our very own being at Mass during Holy Communion! Amen. (mjf)

rosario, podamos estar obligados a pedir a Dios Nuestro

(CCC# 1413). (mjf)
