PURPOSE OF THIS GUIDE

Purpose

Welcome to CRIterion Admin. The purpose of this document is to outline the process for setting up and maintaining system administration tables using CRIterion. This system administration guide will provide you with the required information needed to set up and maintain credit union settings, lender limits, system and product defaults.. You can print hard copies of the following details from your banking system to prepare for the customization of CRIterion to suit your credit union.

Required Information:

Branch Addresses

Branch Transit Numbers

CRM/PPSA XML codes

Lender’s Authorized Limits

Edit Tables Details (Product Types, Purpose Codes, etc.)

CRIterion forms required for scenarios (e.g. ONPL01, ONPL02, etc.)

Workflow or Task Checklists (Tasks lenders need completed for various application types) any other details for customizing CRIterion system administration

GETTING STARTED

Use the following address to access the training environment. http://training.prolender.net/admin/

At the log on screen, enter your user ID and password. This training site is accessible anywhere you have access to the internet.

Live Site = https://www.prolender.net/admin

User Name = system administrator’s user name in the live environment

Password = system administrator’s password in the live environment

When CRIterion completes loading, you will see a screen, similar to the one shown below:

The following menus are used to set up your credit union.

CU (Credit Union) Settings

Lender Settings

Edit Tables

Form Scenarios

Workflow Note: System Administration is primarily a onetime set up process; however, there may be periodic maintenance required. It is important to maintain both your live and training environments so that they remain in sync and both systems behave consistently.

The system administrator will need to install his/her digital certificate before gaining access to the CRIterion live environment.

If you wish to practice system administration set up before setting up details in the live environment, the training environment will not require a digital certificate.

ADMIN MENUS

The purpose of this section is to provide system administrators with a guideline to set up and manage credit union default settings as well as lenders’ limits for approval purposes in CRIterion. It is very important these parameters are set up in the live environment as soon as the system administrator has access to CRIterion. The training environment can be used to view or practice set up of system administration tables. If certain parameters are not set up in the live environment, CRIterion will not function properly and the system could crash.

Approval and General Parameters

User Defined Rules for Lender Levels section - enter the criteria for Levels 1, 2, 3 & 4. Each level represents an increase in lending authority; and form the basis for individual lending limits as defined later in this guide. Enter values for minimum Beacon Score, minimum BNI Score, CRP and ERS Score (as they apply to your credit union), maximum allowed TDS and GDS, LTV Limits, RLTV and LTV Non-Conforming Limits (relating to conforming/non-conforming mortgages) and AD (IdealLender) Interest Rate Flexibility, if applicable. *NOTE - In order to enable the Conforming and Non-Conforming Mortgage feature, please contact the CRI Canada Client Care team.

If there is a shortfall or an unsecured portion, the user won’t be able to approve the application.

If these levels are left undefined, the CRIterion approval functionality may not work properly and lenders could encounter errors.

Conforming/Non-Conforming Mortgage Feature

To have this option is available to your Credit Union, CRI Canada must be notified so it can be

enabled in the CRI Canada Administration site.

RLTV LOC Limit % Max (Revolving Loan to Value): this limit pertains to the calculation and

verification of the sum of all applications that are line of credits and secured by real estate

(HELOCS). The total of the current application plus the sum of all existing HELOC’s must not

exceed the limit allocated (65% LTV), regardless if application is conforming or non-conforming.

To calculate the RLTV, CRIterion will capture the sum of all limits for HELOC’s associated the

property being used for collateral that has “Include in Net Worth” selected, plus the total

requested for the current application. This value will then be divided by the value of the

property.

If an application is a “Non-Conforming HELOC”, CRIterion will check the LTV Total LOC Limit %

Max, LTV Non-Conforming Limit % Max, and the LTV LOC limit % Max.

If an application is a “Conforming HELOC”, CRIterion will simply check the LTV Total LOC Limit %

Max, and the LTV LOC limit % Max.

A field will display on the Approval screen to identify the application as conforming/non-

conforming.

CU SETTINGS

Default Percent of Balance - to be used to calculate minimum payments on credit cards and line of credit liabilities. If you want lenders to be able to enter this rate at their discretion, enter ‘0’ in this field.

Default Credit Bureau - If your credit union uses both Equifax and Trans Union, you can set the default. Allow Officer to Override Assets/Liabilities Value Options - If this option is checked than all Lending Officers will have the ability to override asset or liability value options (market value verses purchase price).

Include Guarantors in Combined Adjusted GDS/TDS, and Net Worth - Check this option if you want to include guarantors in the adjusted GDS/TDS and Net Worth calculations. Enable Conditional Approvals - Check this option if you want to allow approvals that have conditions attached to them. Allow Other Income Gross Up - When checked this will allow lenders to gross up income (higher than 100%) based on credit union policy. Use GDS/TDS Checkbox - This checkbox will enable GDS/TDS check boxes in the Asset and Liability screens, as well as in the financial summary (Net Worth) screens in CRIterion, allowing lenders to choose which liabilities will affect the member’s TDS and GDS calculations. Use Net Worth Checkbox - This checkbox will enable Net Worth checkboxes in the Asset and Liability screens as well as in the financial summary (Net Worth) screens in CRIterion allowing lenders to choose which assets and liabilities will affect the member’s Net Worth calculations. SBL Loan Limit - This sets the limit for small business loans – This option is only active on commercial and agricultural loans. Enable Secured with Unsecured Limit Check - This flag will prompt CRIterion to check the unsecured aggregate value first and if the dollar amount passes, then CRIterion will check the total of the unsecured aggregate plus Secured aggregate to determine if the value is within the secured aggregate for an approval. Set APR on forms with total rate when APR is LESS THAN Total Rate on App. Details screen - Will only be visible for BC and Ontario credit unions and is for form population.

Select Branch to Default as the Lender Info on the AAFC Form - is for the population of this form.

Default Workflow Panel on All Applications - This setting will automatically open a workflow when an application is started.

Default Lender Branch - Sets the default reporting branch for all lenders. This can be their current logged-in branch if all branches operate on separate cost centres, or a specific branch such as Head Office if you are using one centralized cost centre for all lending.

Enable Web App (public interface) username/password - this option is no longer available.

Prime Rate Custom Name - This sets the display name that will appear on CRIterion screens that refer to prime rate. If left blank then the default display will remain prime rate. In November, 2016 the Prime Rate Name will be controlled in the Base Rate Table.

Enable FCT Button for Personal LOC/MTG on all Application Statuses - Not available.

CU AD Settings - this section allows for the setting of various Auto-Decisioning (IdealLender) defaults, if your credit union has implemented this software.

Enforce automated decision - Check this option if you want to enforce the IdealLender decision. This will mean that the application will be locked in the state that results from the IdealLender decision. For example, if the application is approved then the application status will set to ‘’Approved’’ and the lender would have to ‘’Pend’’ the application in order to make further changes. This would then void the approval and would require that the lender seek approval again either through IdealLender, a secondary approver, or using their own authority. AD Approval valid for XX months - This option defines how long a resulting auto decision from IdealLender remains valid. This will also apply to any Cross Sells that are a result of the decision.

Include in AD Requested Amount for Approval - These check boxes set the total amount that is requested in the Auto Decision process, check all that apply. Choosing these options will increase the requested amount by the total of all items checked.

Allow approval of IdealLender’s Amount + Insurance + Fees beyond AD Limit - If you also want to allow IdealLender’s approved amount to be exceeded by any Insurance and Fee’s check this box. This option will allow approval on the Requested but grant the Lender authority to exceed the approved amount to include any Insurance and Fees.

Allow approval of Insurance + Fees beyond AD Limit for Cross Sell initiated applications Check this option if you also want the Cross Sell amount to be exceeded by any Insurance and fees.

Workflows

Some of the features that are available for workflows are: Enforcing Lender Tasks Ownership - This feature locks the workflow tasks so that only the user to whom the task(s) are assigned will have the ability to edit the fields within that task/workflow, for example comments or checking complete/NA. The only editable fields will be the Assigned Officer drop-down field. This must be enabled by the CRI Canada Support Team. Default Auto Workflow - When enabled, this feature will automatically open a workflow when an application is started. The alternative would be to open it manually, by the user, from the Current Application menu once an application has been started. Once enabled by the CRI Canada Support team, the checkbox is located in the CU Settings panel. Go to the CU Settings menu > Approval and General Parameters > CU Settings.

Task Editor

These are tasks and processes required for completion of credit applications in order to ensure audit requirements are met. The workflow allows officers to easily click on a link to bring them to the next screen within CRIterion. It also serves as a “checklist” for all of the tasks required to complete an application.

The name of each task can be created as desired. To link the task to a specific screen in CRIterion, choose it from the Associate with a Page in CRIterion drop-down list. For instance – if the task name is Verify Employment, select Employment Information from the Associate with a Page in CRIterion list. When set up correctly, the link will appear as an underlined item in the workflow. If not set up, then users will not be able to view the appropriate screen when the task is selected. If a task does not require an association, this field can be left blank.
