    The Right to Recommend a Student be

    Administratively Withdrawn from Class

    Student Conduct in the Classroom

    In the event that a student willfully disregards the classroom conduct

    standards as stated in the VSU Faculty Handbook (listed below) and/or

    the Reginald F. Lewis School of Business Student Code of

    Ethics/Conduct and Dress Code, or Computer Lab/Classroom Code of

    Conduct; the Faculty may recommend to the School Assistant Dean orDean administrative withdrawal of the student from the class.

    EXAMPLES FROM THE REGINALD F. LEWIS SCHOOL OF BUSINESS CODE OF

    EHTICS/CONDUCT AND THE DRESS CODE:

    Cheating/plagiarism is a violation of VSU and Reginald F. Lewis School of Business

    codes.

    Adhere to Business Attire on Wednesdaysand at all School of Business and

    University Events.

    Excessive unexcused absences from class.

    Cell phones must always be turned off in the classroom.

    No food or drink is permitted in the classroom.

    Adhere to the Reginald F. Lewis School of Business Dress Code.

    VSU FACULTY HAND BOOK

    Each instructor is responsible for maintaining a classroom environment that facilitates

    effective teaching and learning. The classroom environment should be such that itprepares students for behavior that is expected in a civil society. Disruptive and

    disrespectful behavior on the part of any student should not be tolerated by theinstructor. Instructors may evict students who disrupt the class, and, when students areconsistently disruptive, instructors may recommend to the chair that the student be

    dropped from the course (2004 VSU Faculty Handbook, section 3.2 instruction,

    classroom conduct).

    ALL FACULTY MUST FOLLOW & IMPLEMENT THE ABOVE
