1How ADITO Works
• Microfnance is the provision of fnancial services on a very small scale to people (mostly women) who are otherwise unbankable
• Structured so as to overcome the obstacles of formal fnance – collateral, location, formal legal identity…
• Helps poor people to improve their lives by giving them to means to s tart and develop income generating activities
What is microfnance?
• ADITO is a nexus between Harvard and the world of microfnance
• We have two main missions:o To assist grassroots microfnance
institutions (MFIs) by providing pro bono consulting
o To expose Harvard students to microfnance by giving them hands-on experiences
• We will soon become a registered 501(c)(3)
