The stem cells that will be used are 100% yours, eliminating any risk of rejection. Preserved stem cells can be used for growth, re- pair and even regeneration of damaged cells and tissues throughout the body, including scarring, cartilage and nerve repair, and even hair growth.

PRESERVING YOUR STEM

CELLS

WHY YOU SHOULD PRESERVE YOUR STEM CELLS.Your stem cells are never going to be younger, stronger or healthier than they are right now. Every day as you age, your cells become older, damaged and lose their ability to repair and rejuvenate.

You can preserve some of your healthy stem cells by setting them aside in cryopreservation and use them for future medical procedures, regenerative treatments, or cosmetic surgery.

INVEST IN YOUR FUTURE

• There are 3 types of stem cells used in a number of procedures: Embryonic Stem Cells, Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells and Adult Stem Cells. Of these, Adult stem cells are the most stable, as they have fully developed meaning they have a lesser chance of mutation in the body. As a result, there is little controversy surrounding the use of Adult stem cells in medical and cosmetic procedures.

• Your cells are in the best shape they will ever be.

• The cells used in our procedure are taken from fat, and can be harvested during a number of cosmetic procedures.

• There is no extra recovery time.

• Adisave is the only company in Canada to offer these services.

• Our harvesting techniques are safe, and our preservation methods are stringent, and with the exception of natural disaster, foolproof.

• The stem cells that will be used are 100% yours, eliminating any risk of rejection.

• Preserved stem cells can be used for growth, re-pair and even regeneration of damaged cells and tissues throughout the body, including scarring, cartilage and nerve repair, and even hair growth.

PRESERVING YOUR STEM CELLS TO INVEST IN YOUR FUTURE

Imagine giving your future self the gift of all the youth, vitality and health that you possess today. Adisave provides innovative adipose derived stem cell banking through a revolutionary process that captures strong, healthy stem cells extracted from adipose tissue (fat).

1

PROTECTING YOUR FUTURE wITh AdISAVE

Adisave is Canada’s pioneer in the collection and preservation of stem cells from adipose (fat) tissue.

We provide an affordable, secure and stringently monitored system of collecting, isolating and preserving your stem cells. As we isolate your own stem cells, all risks of rejection and genetic incompatibility are avoided.

We are Canada’s first and only provider of adipose derived stem cell banking, combining world-class technology and expert medical personnel with our state-of-the-art facility.

ThE bEST INSURANCE IS bIO-INSURANCE

Your stem cells are never going to be younger, stronger or healthier than they are right now. Every day as you age - even as you read this - they become older. Over time they become damaged and lose their ability to repair and rejuvenate.

You can preserve some of your healthy stem cells by setting them aside in cryopreservation and use them for future medical procedures, regenerative treatments, or cosmetic surgery.

Your youthful stem cells, safely collected and restored, become your investment in future medical procedures.

bANkING YOUR STEM CELLSAs people Age, the quAlity And quAntity of their stem cells decreAse

Banking your stem cells now gives you future access to your younger - and more plentiful - stem cells when you need them. Right now your stem cells are capable of a finite number of divisions, eventually though, they will become senescent, losing their strength and potency. Stem cells stored in cryopreservation retain their potency for years to come. If you wait until you are seriously ill, your body’s stem cells may be of limited benefit to your recovery.

OUR PROCEdURE IS SAFE ANd SECURE

Whether you’re thinking of banking stem cells for future medical treatments or cosmetic surgery, every facet of Adisave’s stem cell storage procedure ensures the safe collection, storage and retrieval of your stem cells.

Banking your stem cells poses no additional risk to your health; the procedure can even be performed using local anesthesia. Our promise of safety covers your stem cells for as long as they’re stored; we double wrap your stem cells in a cryovial and heat-sealed tube, maintain them far below average cryogenic thresholds, use a comprehensive barcode labeling system, and as a failsafe, bank your stem cells at two separate locations.

IS STEM CELL bANkING FOR ME?

Stem cell banking is ideal for patients falling into one of two groups:

• The first are those who are already planning to have elective liposuction. They have decided to eliminate adipose tissue (fat) from a certain part of their body and, rather than having the fat thrown away, choose to store their healthy, fat-derived stem cells for later use.

• The second are those attuned to developments in the world of science and medicine that wish to bank their stem cells today for future use.

whAT SORTS OF TREATMENTS ARE STEM CELLS USEd FOR?

Stem cells can mitigate the deleterious health effects of heart disease, stroke, spinal injury and muscle disorders as well as cancer, arthritis, autoimmune diseases and sports injuries - to name just a few - with new applications being discovered every year.

whY ARE AdULT STEM CELLS bETTER ThAN EMbRYONIC STEM CELLS?

1. They avoid the controversy associated with embryonic stem cells, which require the termination of an in vitro fertilized egg, raising serious religious and ethical issues

for many people. The harvesting of adult stem cells violates no religious beliefs or practices; in fact, the procedure is endorsed by a number of religious groups across North America.

2. Whereas adult stem cells are programmed to react to different environmental clues, embryonic stem cells lack this capability; in other words, they have no “on/off switch”.

3. Because they lack this automatic on/off mechanism, embryonic stem cells pose the danger of forming a tumour called a teratoma, which can evolve to become malignant.

hOw MANY OF MY STEM CELLS wILL bE bANkEd?

Our extraction process averages between one to two million stem cells per gram of fat. We normally process 100 to 150 grams of fat so this amount yields approximately one to two hundred million ideal stem and progenitor cells to be banked.

whAT IS ThE COST OF bANkING MY STEM CELLS?

Our cost for the separation process and first year of storage is $1,795 plus applicable taxes.

CAPTURING YOUR STEM CELLS

how the AdisAve process works

The Adisave procedure uses an entirely closed system, meaning once your adipose tissue is removed in the operating room, it is never exposed to air again.

STEP 1 When your fat tissue arrives at our facility, we process it in our GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) certified clean room (ISO 5 inside of ISO 7). A GMP clean room represents the highest standard of contaminant control, a level of clean room technology that few manufacturing plants, research centres and even hospitals can match.

Once your fat tissue arrives in our facility it is thoroughly washed to remove any blood or residual substances such as local anesthetic.

STEP 2 We digest the fat tissue with collagenase for 45 minutes.

STEP 3We separate the stem cells from the fat tissue and neutralize it with your serum.

STEP 4We isolate the stem cells from the surrounding material in our GMP machine called a SEPAX2.

STEP 5We perform a validation of the stem cells, checking both the number of stem cells and their viability (the number of live healthy cells). We check for apoptosis (the process of programmed cell death). On average, we maintain a high ratio of viable healthy stem cells - approximately 94%.

STEP 6We mix the stem cells with a cryo-protectant and your own serum, and freeze them in a computer-controlled rate freezer.

ThE FUTURE

Adisave will be investigating the potential for adipose-derived stem cells to be used for the mitigation and/or treatment of several diseases. Some examples include:

• Multiple sclerosis

• Lupus

• Scleroderma

• Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis

• Diabetes

• Crohn’s disease

• Rheumatoid arthritis

• Critical limb ischemia and associated complications such as foot ulcers

• Macular degeneration

• Parkinson’s disease

• Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS - Lou Gehrig’s disease)
