  • School nonattendance is a problem that affects students, families and the community. Not only are students with poor attendance less likely to do well in school, they are more likely to drop out of school all together, have a lower self- esteem and are less likely to find good jobs in the future. When children are not in school, they are also more likely to get involved in illegal activities in the community.
