(Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) is a tool that can be used by anyone who is vulnerable to HIV

infection, providing up to 99% protection against HIV. With partnerships and support from

business like yours, we can spread the message to a bigger audience and bring awareness of

this great prevention tool to the communities that need it the most.

This July we will celebrate the 5-year anniversary of PrEP! As a result we are celebrating the

very first PrEP Awareness Month. We ask that you join us in one of the following ways:

Key ways that you can support PrEP Awareness Month:

Hang a PrEP Awareness Month Poster – Download a poster and add your organization

logo and contact information.

Host a PrEP Happy Hour – Partner with a local bar or restaurant. Ask if they will offer a

signature blue drink and donate a portion of the proceeds to support your agency’s

services.

Reserve a special place at your business to display information about PrEP.

Post our PrEP Awareness Month messages on social media. Find pre-created content

daily during July 2017 on our Facebook group “PrEP Facts: Portland Metro & SW

Washington” or in our Social Media Outreach Strategy attachment.

Businesses participating in PrEP Awareness Month will be mentioned in our social media

posts throughout the month of July.
