• Most Sport & Recreation Services non-credit programs are open to University students, faculty, staff and the community.

• Register for programs listed in the Activity Guide (or web-site) directly with Sport & Recreation Services unless otherwise noted.

• All applications are received on a “First Come, First Serve” basis. Only those registrations received with immediate payment are considered officially registered.

• Register EARLY as most Sport & Recreation Services programs fill to capacity prior to the registration deadline of 5 working days before the activity/program starts.

• Any program cancelled due to insufficient enrolment or instructor unavailability will be refunded, in full, to you.

• Sport & Recreation Services reserves the right to cancel any activity/program for any reason deemed necessary by the Sport & Recreation Services Programs Manager.

• GST is included in program fees unless otherwise noted.

• Sport & Recreation Services will not be held liable for any injury or death resulting from the use of Sport & Recreation Services equipment or participating in any activity/program. It is understood that the risk of personal injury or death is inherent to some degree in all activities, and while using equipment. Please ensure that you fully understand what these risks are and that you are prepared to accept this element of risk before registering for our activities / programs. Sport & Recreation Services will in no way be responsible for: medical or dental expenses; ambulance expenses; damage, theft or loss of personal equipment, eye glasses or contact lenses incurred while participating in any activity/program.

Cancellations• A $20 cancellation/$10 transfer fees is charged for each activity/program cancellation or transfer.

• All cancellations must be received in writing, by Sport & Recreation Services, a minimum of 5 working days prior to the commencement of the activity/program.

• Refunds will not be considered after the commencement of the activity/program.

Birthday Parties & Group Bookings• Birthday Parties can be booked at the Pool on Fridays or Saturdays at specific times for a one hour period.

• A food and present opening area is also available, for up to one hour, after your Climbing or Pool time.

• Group packages are also available throughout the year, including staff Christmas party packages in December.

• Please call 403-329-2658 for further information regarding these bookings.

• Climbing Wall Birthday Parties can be booked on Fridays or Saturdays at specific times at a cost of $100 for a one hour period. A food & present opening area is available for up to one hour after your climbing time also.We also offer 2 hour group packages available Tuesday evenings and during limited times throughout the year.

S.A.L.T.S. - SoccerLearn to play soccer through the acquisition of soccer specific skills, lead up games, and mini soccer games. Each session will include skill-related instruction, lead-up games and a mini soccer game. The goal of the program is to provide an environment for learning individual ball handling skills and small group tactics. Soccer can be fun for every child when they have the opportunity to touch the ball and develop skills.Each participant MUST BRING: 1 soccer ball, 1 pair of shin pads, soccer or running shoes, shorts, sweatpants, jacket or sweatshirt, water bottle; please ensure that all personal items are marked accordingly. Multi Activity CampThese camps offer elementary aged children the opportunity to learn and broaden their horizons acquiring fundamental skills in a variety of activities. Your child has an opportunity to participate in different activity components, such as art, dance, cooperative games and many physical activities (floor hockey, basketball, and soccer). All of our instructors encourage and promote social interaction skills, emphasizing cooperation and individual improvement rather than competition. Leaders In Training CampThis session is geared to junior high youth who are looking for training and experience as potential leaders in the community. The dynamic instructional curriculum includes emergency first aid certification, how to effectively handle behaviour problems, and planning and coordinating activities. Participants must also complete a week long practicum as a “leader in training” with our summer multi activity camps. Jr. Boys And GirlsThese camps, for children ages 11-13, combine individual skills with team play while maintaining an atmosphere making basketball challenging, yet enjoyable for all.

Sr. Boys And GirlsEach player is expected to have some knowledge of the game, as the level of instruction and competition is more advanced. The University of Lethbridge Pronghorn basketball coaches bring a wealth of talent and knowledge to the camps and select their top players to facilitate and lead instruction. Basic (Girls)This camp for girls places greater emphasis on soccer fundamentals and the skill development of each player. Specialized training in individual ball skills and movement are the focus of this camp. Participants are divided into groups of similar ability levels so that all may learn from the experience. GoalieThis specialized camp teaches fundamentals and advanced techniques.For ages 10 years and up.

The camp will allow the participants to learn advanced techniques and tactics in various game situations. Hockey CampThe focus of the instructional hockey camp is to improve the players skating, passing, and shooting skills. Players will be given the opportunity to apply these skills in game type activities daily with a final game on the last day of camp. Off-ice instruction and film sessions are part of the daily routine as well as a multi-sport session.

Checking ConfidenceThis program is intended to provide young players 11-12 years of age with special instruction on the physical and mental skills required for effective checking. Areas covered include angling, pinning techniques, stick position and checking, body positioning procedures and techniques in taking a check. Sports for YouthLunch ProgramWe are pleased to feature the return of the Summer Camp Lunch Program to the University of Lethbridge. Food Services has developed this program with you in mind to enhance the Summer Camp program. Food Services will supply a combination of hot and cold lunches daily to your child. This program is included into the fee structure for all of our full day camps to save you time and to add convenience. If there are any questions or concerns regarding allergies, please contact Food Services at 329-2491.*$15 discount off registration price if you opt out of lunch program.
