Activities Excellence Award 2016-17
At LiverpoolSU, we value our sports and society volunteers, and we want to help you to develop and achieve. We want our student groups to be recognised and rewarded for your dedication and your successes. This is the second year of the LiverpoolSU Activities Excellence Award. We’ve changed aspects of the award, and there is a big addition for 2016-17: the Top 8 scorers on the award will get money into their club or society account to help them develop their club or society, with prizes up to £1000. We want you to feel part of the LiverpoolSU community, and to work both within your own club or society, and with other clubs and societies to achieve great things. We want to know what you are doing in your student groups to be able to celebrate and shout about your achievements. At LiverpoolSU, we know how hard you work, and how much time, effort and commitment goes into your student groups, and this is the opportunity to have that recognised. Good Luck, Summer (VP Activities)
Activities Excellence Award How does it work?
This year, we’ve simplified the process. There are 3 levels of activities;
Level 1 activities are awarded with 1 point Level 2 activities are awarded with 3 points Level 3 activities are awarded with 5 points
Your points will be recorded on the Activities Excellence Award League Table, which will be on the LiverpoolSU website. In order to get on the Leader board
your group must have done 2 basic things;
Have 12 paid members on the LiverpoolSU website*
Attended Committee Training or completed the online committee training module
There are two ways to achieve points;
1. Submit evidence for your group to the Activities team at [email protected]
2. LiverpoolSU will award you the points as we have evidence of the activity
Next to each criteria if you can submit the evidence yourself, you will see this:
For the top 8 clubs & societies, they will each receive money in their student group account to develop their student group. They will meet with LiverpoolSU
Student Group Coordinators to set down plans on how to spend the money, which will enables all the winners to set out a tailored plan of development.
Deadline for submissions is 1st March 2017- the information will be collated and the winners & their awards will be announced at the LiverpoolSU Loves
You Awards.
*Please note: if your society membership is free, you must still have at least 12 official members registered on the LiverpoolSU website.
