The Founding Team MARIANA LEÑERO PRESIDENT & C0-FOUNDER For over 17 years, Mariana Leñero has dedicated her professional life to the support of children and adolescents with learning disabilities as well as to assisting their families with tools and strategies to help their children. In 1995, she founded the Centro Integra in Mexico City, a prestigious clinic, where she is in charge of conducting the evaluations, structuring the therapeutic programs, and counseling parents and teachers. Among the many activities in which she is involved, Mariana offers talks and counseling to Latino families in Redondo Beach and Santa Monica. Mariana has a BA in Neurolinguistics and Psycho-pedagogy from the Colegio Superior de Neurolingüística y Psicopedagogía in Mexico City. Her thesis on Parameters of Development and Learning Problems in Preschool and Elementary School Children: An Assessment Approach received an Honorable Mention Award from the examiners committee. She has a Master’s Degree in Applied Linguistics from the University of Jaen in Spain and another in Forming and Training Teachers from UNINI in Puerto Rico. She taught at the same school from which she graduated and has worked in a number of hospitals in Mexico City in the area of phoniatrics, creating programs for adult aphasia patients. She is a thesis adviser and participates in investigation projects related to neuro-psychopedagogic diagnosis, perceptual problems, and the relationship between the process of self-esteem and learning. RICARDO SOLAR CEO & C0-FOUNDER Ex-Mattel corporate refugee. Over 15 years of experience in the fields of strategic sales planning, shopper marketing, new business development, and brand marketing for consumer-products companies in the US and Latin America. Before founding Ayax, Ricardo was Sr. Director of Strategic Sales Planning for Mattel US and Latin America, leading a 50+ team of marketers, category managers, and sales account planning executives.

PEGGY HOREJSI CTO & C0-FOUNDER With over 25 years in the Information Technology field, Peggy has experience managing all aspects of software development, including project management, integration of package/ERP solutions, web and corporate systems development, and quality assurance. Prior to joining Ayax, she was Sr. Director at DIRECTV, Inc., leading a 100+ international team.
