ACTIONGUIDE!
BIO:A few years ago, I had an epiphany on the cross-town bus. I asked myself, “What do I want from life, anyway?” and I thought, “I want to be happy”—but I never spent any time thinking about happiness. “I should do a happiness project!” I realized. And so I have.

QUICK FACTS
2/6
1. What do you most enjoy doing in your spare time?
2. How can you make more time to do what you love?
Why wait?
You can be creating happiness right now. Gretchen Rubin stopped fooling
herself and started writing a book. She is now a New York Times best seller.
What can you become?
3. What are you willing to change in order to be happier and fulfill your purpose?
4. Can you create a financial plan that allows you to feel safe enough to launch your business?
Understand Your Passion
Turning your passion into a business isn’t easy and you may not want to do it full time,
but the only way you’ll know what you want is if you take a chance and give it a shot.
You have to know what you need and how to make each step of the process
comfortable and enjoyable.
5. Do you work on your passion every day? If not, what’s holding you back?
6. Can you promise yourself that you’ll “show up” every day for the next 365 days? (i.g. Sit down to write at least 15 min/day, every day)
Your Daily Passion
A lot of people are afraid of burning out on their passion and think that working on it
daily will exacerbate this. The truth is that the more you work on your passion, the
more ideas you’ll be able to receive. You can’t burn out on what you truly love to do as
long as you take the time to relax when you’re feeling overwhelmed.
7. When are you most productive? (Know when you have the most energy to do creative work.)
8. What system can you create that will encourage you to finish projects that you are excited about? (e.g. Create a deadline and have a friend make sure that you stay on track.)
Understand Your Core
You must understand your core strengths. If you work best from 9am to 12pm, you
need to do your most thought intensive work during this time. You’ll be far more
productive, and the results will prove it.
