Interctive features: ALP has a number of new features that you can use, including Q&A, flagging and a study guide.

Please be aware that interactive features may not always be monitored or enabled by your lecturer or course convenor.

ACCESSING ECHO360 ALP VIA WATTLEYou will be able to access Echo360 ALP via Wattle starting in 2018. Instead of the Echo block you may be familiar with, Echo360 ALP will be accessed via an acitivity link on the course site, similar to how you would access Turnitin or other resources.

GETTING STARTED WITH ALPWhen you access Echo360, you will notice that the ALP interface is quite different from its predecessor. The new layout, menus and icons allow for easy navigation. Below are some of the key features:

INTERACTIVE FEATURES

These may not be enabled or monitored by your lecturer.

Q&A function If the Q&A function is enabled, you will be able to ask and respond to questions within ALP. You can post a question or response to the course or a specific class (i.e. session).

You can post your questions anonymously. However, this is only anonymous to other students and not to your lecturer.

Flagging system You will be able to flag confusion on a slide or scene, during or after class, and lecturers can view these at their convenience. Unlike Q&A, flags are anonymous to all.

Bookmarking This can be used to mark something you found important or wanted to highlight. If you bookmark something, it will appear in your study guide and you can write notes to go with it.

Study guide You can use the study guide to take notes generally or in relation to specific slides or sections of the recording.

Interactive slides Your lecturer may set up activity slides within a presentation. ALP can host a number of activities including multiple choice, short answer, image quiz, ordered list and numerical questions.

To access activities during your class, you can:

Participate via ALP slides: Click on the presentation icon and navigate slide to slide by clicking on the arrows. To view all slides in the presentation, click on the icon found at the top of your presentation screen. You can participate in the activities at anytime when the slides are made available.

Responding using SMS: Some activities allow you to respond via SMS. To do this, you will need to add your phone number to your account (see below).
