Should I go to a job fair or not?

My answer is YES....GO!!!

I am a firm believer that there is always an opportunity out there it is just how bad do you want it? I was scared out of my mind to go to a job fair. I passed on so many opportunities (job fairs) and then realized what do I have to lose? What will it actually take for me to get in some nice clothes, put on make up, wear some heels and print some resumes? I decided to take a friend as my decoy. Someone who can walk and go through the experience with you. So....I did it.....I went to ONE job fair and I waited in ONE line for about 30 minutes...yes, just 30 minutes of my life...and I gave my resume to a lady and she looked at it for maybe 10 seconds and told me to go to the next line for an appointment for an interview. I did that and waited another 10 minutes and got a little card with a time and date to go to HR for an interview. Oh, and I got the job and the rest is history. So my advise and suggestion never pass on an opportunity. Job fairs are a great place to get a job and if you really want a job you will get one. I was determined and it happened. You can't sit and do nothing and complain you can't find a teaching job, sorry jobs don't fall from the sky. You got to actively participate in finding all those opportunities and you got to WANT it. STAND OUT...BE DIFFERENT....SMILE....BE POSITIVE and NEVER NEVER GIVE UP!!! There is lots of jobs waiting for you all. GOOD LUCK and HAPPY TEACHING!!!!!
