Why the ACCA Qualification?

The ACCA syllabus is a comprehensive programme in financial management skills.

The ACCA Qualification takes the candidate to advanced levels in a variety of subjects such as:

► Financial Reporting under IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards)

► Polish Tax

► Management Decision Making

► Financial Strategies

Candidates not only gain specialist knowledge in finance and accounting, but also acquire valuable skills in organisational management and strategy.

It therefore increases the career prospects of the employee and reduces training costs of the employer.

How long does it take to do the ACCA Qualification?

The ACCA programme consists of two parts, which are subdivided into a total of fourteen examinations. The number of course days is different for each part of the ACCA programme.

Those that hold relevant university degrees may be given exemptions from certain examinations. Depending on the number of exemptions, a candidate should expect to complete the programme in two to three years.

However no exemptions are given in any of the papers at the Professional Part.

We can assist you in applying for ACCA exemptions.

ACCA Examinations

Each ACCA paper has one exam. The examination sessions are organised directly by ACCA and take a place twice a year, in June and December throughout the world. Examinations in Poland take place in Warsaw and Cracow.

The courses and the examinations are conducted in English. The tables on pages 5-9 show the structure and content of the syllabus.

What does EY Academy of Bussiness offer?

Our courses are intensive and are specially designed to help the candidate apply examination technique.

We believe that when candidates start the ACCA programme it is essential that they get a strong grounding in Financial and Management Accounting and we achieve this through a series of intensive courses in papers F2 and F3.

The usual structure of courses (with the exception of papers F2 and F3) is a one or two-day introductory course (normally at weekends) to put candidates into context. A few weeks later there is a two-day mid-term course and before the exam there is a longer revision course during which the candidates practice exam questions. One month before the exam, candidates take our mock exam. This is conducted under exam conditions and its purpose is to give the candidates feedback before the real exam.

When and where are the courses?

ACCA courses are available in Warsaw and Wroclaw. The courses timetable is shown on page 11.
