ACC FUNDRAISER INFORMATION
Every member should have received 5 tickets worth $20 each Your ACC account has been charged $100 Simply sell each ticket for $20 each and keep the money Now you have raised the club $100 without costing you anything Sell to family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, or even yourself Some members will not sell them but their name on the tickets for a chance to Win the drawings…or they may buy 3 and sell 2. It is up to you! May 6 is a PARTY at the club for all members who sold their 5 tickets Last year Gary Blackwell walked away with $2,000
The last 2 years we have raised $87,000, and we renovated the ballroom floor, built a patio, renovated our sandtrap lounge, added TV’s to the bar area, expanded the men’s grill by tearing out the old bar, and more. We will use this money to furnish the sandtrap lounge, enhance the golf shop and pool snack bar area, upgrade the fitness center, purchase a blow up movie screen and outdoor grill for the pool and patio, and much more if we have the right funds. For those wondering if you can do it? YES you can. It is only once a year, and the results make a HUGE impact on making our club better.
We are spotlighting Michelle Boston who is our ACC Accounts Manager. She has now been with us 17 years, and she has done a tremendous job! She handles the accounts payables and receivables, and she answers questions regarding your ACC bill. More than anything, Michelle is
willing and able to do just about anything she can for the sake of this club. She is a true credit to
Arrowhead CC, and I am pleased to recognize her for her outstanding
work and commitment!

Message from the ACC Manager
Dear Members,
You will be receiving your 5 fund raiser tickets in the mail Your goal is simple: sell the 5 tickets for $20 each and simply keep the money and it has not cost you anything. This is how you get back the $100 charged to your account. Sell them to your family, friends, or even yourself. The drawing and party will be Saturday, May 6. This money will be used to make Arrowhead CC a better place for you and future members.
As you can see around the club, things are getting done. Thanks to Marsha Miller and the House Committee for finalizing the new front doors. Ben Anderson and his staff have added beautiful red mulch to the front entrance, and it looks great! We also had the parking lot swept and re-striped, and it made a great impact. We will have a new privacy fence and gate near the kitchen area as soon as the insurance company approves the work.
More exciting news is the fact we just hired a new Memberships and Events Manager, as well as an Activities Director for the pool. Our pool experience will simply be awesome with games, activities, adult nights, movie nights, BINGO, and more! Encourage your friends to join ACC now so they can enjoy the benefits.
If you get a chance please thank a manager for their dedication to ACC. I am so proud of the managing staff we have! The team chemistry is very good, and I am pleased with the work they have been doing. THANK YOU! See you at the club!

Letter from the ACC President How did February get here so quickly? The summer like conditions in January made it feel like spring. It was a great two weeks for golf and many took advantage of the opportunity. Our annual fund raiser will be coming soon. Look for information in the coming weeks. The money raised will be used to continue improving our club. There are many needs for the golf course and club house. We have made great progress and need to continue.
Participation in club and golf activities continue to grow. Share the good news of the club with friends and invite them to join. Upgrading to Equity Membership has never been better or easier. Contact John for the new offers to our members and prospective new members.

UPCOMING EVENTS
With “winter” behind us, spring golf is getting ready to blossom. The Ladies Golf Association has ladies of all playing skills so anyone interested in joining ALGA and wants further information should contact Vicki Oda at [email protected] The next meeting of the ALGA is Saturday, March 11th at 8am. Please plan to be there and play after the meeting.
The Executive Board and Committee have planned a fun-filled calendar for 2017. The first of the ALGA tournaments is the “Bunny Hop” on April 8th. We are giving you plenty of notice so you can prepare your game for this flag tournament. Everyone is welcome so watch the board in the locker room for the sign-up sheet.
ALGA TUESDAY/SATURDAY RESULTSWinners, Winners, Winners...Because of the beautiful weather in January and February, we have been able to play a lot of Tuesdays/Saturdays. In January, Julia Hardigree, Penny O’Day and Nell Sellers were the “Ace” Winners. Marilyn Hawkins won the “Odds/Evens” Game and Vicki Oda won the “Par 4’s” Game. February weather was also very kind to us and Joanne Rousso and Vicki Oda won the “Ace” game with Nell Seller winning the “Toss 3” Game. Do some of these games sound unusual? Well, the best way to find out how much fun we have on Tuesday and Saturday Ladies Play is to be at the locker room by 8:30am. Come Join us, play and stay for lunch after-wards. Penny is the “Play” chairman and she has lots of tricks up her sleeve that should be fun for all players!
CITY PLAY – LADIES DOGFIGHTThe ladies play golf at a different golf course every Thursday as part of the City Ladies Dogfight. ALGA City Rep is Essie McGhee. The Alternate Rep is Julia Hardigree. The City Play schedule for March is listed below:
March 2: GatewayMarch 9: Prattville CCMarch 16: Quail WalkMarch 23: RTJ Capitol HillMarch 30: Aroostook

!
How blessed are we to live in a place that gets to have 2 “Spring Seasons” in one year!!! Typically we come out February from the bitter cold eager to get our games back in shape and ready for the busy summer months, but not this year!! Most of you have been working hard on your game and playing on every glorious day that we have had. The best news of all is that it’s only going to get better!!
With spring upon us and longer days to come this can only mean one thing? TWI-LIGHT GOLF IS BACK!! That’ right…March 16th will be the return of Twi-light golf and a reason to love Thursday afternoon again. This year we are going to bring back the spirit and passion that Ghary Akers had back when all of this got started. Each week starting at 4:30 pm we will pair up teams based on ability and play a friendly little 9 hole “scramble” with a twist. Just to make sure things stay fresh and exciting we will add a “Twist” each week that really helps level the playing field. We encourage any and all skill levels to come out and enjoy 9 holes with fellow members & guests. To make sure we get the season started off on the right foot John Sadie and I will be doing a FREE wedge clinic at 4:00 pm before you all get started. We will spend 20 minutes covering how to control your distance with your wedges, so that you can stick it close on the golf course!!! So, make sure you get there early and if you hang around for dinner after play your first drink is on us!
Save the Date, April 1st, 2017
