A Short Spring Break After three tedious quarters of hard work and learning, a short break was much needed, but it was also short-lived. FBA students travelled all around the world to unique places.
Our seniors spent their senior trip skiing in Germany and Switzerland.

JV baseball has a record
of 4 wins and 1 loss as of
this writing. They have
played Golden Gate High
School’s JV team, Immo-
kalee's JV squad, Golden
Gate again, and finally
Everglades Varsity. The
Lions beat Golden Gate
by a margin greater than
10 both first game and
second game. They beat
Immokalee 18-4 and
most recently beat Ever-
glades 17-4. This is an
amazing accomplishment
made by a JV team that
was doubtful of this possi-
bility.
“Lions on three, 1…2…3 LIONS!” says team captain Benji Ritter before and after
every game and practice. The varsity baseball team has come a long way since last
season. Head coach Mario Doria’s key phrases are “play with heart” and “4HG.” The
team hopes to make it to Regional’s this year and possibly States. Varsity took a trip
to Ft. Lauderdale over spring break to play in tournaments against 5A teams from
across the state. They are currently undefeated in their district and hope to keep that
title. Their season ends in May, and they have many more games to play with heart
and 4HG.

What does Easter mean to you? Is it just a fun time to get off school, paint eggs, and eat candy? Or is it more than that? In 1 Peter 1:3, it explains exactly why we celebrate Easter Sunday. “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Je-sus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a liv-ing hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” On Good Friday, Jesus suffered and died on the cross to take away all the sins of the world. After three days, He rose from the dead and fulfilled the scriptures! When Jesus rose and came to life again, it gave Christians a new hope! Jesus con-quered sin and death so that we can have eternal life in heaven with Him! Now when Easter comes around, try not to get caught up in all the playful things that Easter can be mistaken for, instead recog-nize the gifts God has given you and be thankful for them!

The True Meaning of Easter
Happy Easter!
Recently two students from our school, along with 12 others from around the country, had the opportunity to visit Israel for a week. Kyle Radcliffe and Morgan Roettele began their jour-ney to Israel on March 8th. The trip was completely paid for by the Ferguson Family Foundation. When traveling around Israel, they made sure to stay in only five-star hotels, as they are the safest places in the country. They even stayed in the King David Hotel where the president of the United States would be staying only a week later. They visited many fa-mous landmarks, including the Wailing Wall and the Dead Sea. They had the opportunity to be baptized in the same place as Jesus, the Jordan River. However, they were un-able to visit Bethlehem, the place of Jesus’ birth because it is unsafe for Westerners. De-spite that, the trip was very educational and a great experi-ence that will stick with them for a very long time.
High school has come and gone for the Senior Class of 2013. The memories that have been made will be cher-ished for a lifetime. The senior class had the amazing opportunity to go to Germany and Switzerland for their senior trip. Before this trip, some students have never even seen snow or been on a plane. So what better way than to experience your first time on a 10 hour flight to the Swiss Alps! They made some lifelong memories and friendships from the bonding in card games at night, to all the shopping they did in Munich, Lucerne, and Zurich. Sledding in the Alps definitely was an all time favorite for the class, with the experi-enced skiers/snowboarders to many first timers. This class has gone from being a graduating class, to a graduating family. As they all go their separate ways, the senior trip will forever and always be a major highlight of their high school years.

Resotour 2013, Serving the ATL Resonate, FBCN’s student creative ministry team, spent their spring break on a mission trip in Atlanta, Georgia. Within 5 miles, there are people from 145 countries speaking 761 languages! It’s the closest thing you could get to a foreign trip without leaving the U.S. Resonate performed songs, drama, and stomp to attract a crowd and share the Gospel. At the end, the Resonate group would disperse and start one-on-one conversations with the audience. Equipped with their EvangeCubes, stu-dents shared the love of Jesus Christ with random onlookers. They per-formed in open air venues such as the Plaza Fiesta, a completely Spanish shopping center. All shoppers and salesmen spoke Spanish. The team learned a Spanish song on the bus and some Spanish 4 students attempted to translate the Captain Canada skit on the fly. It was a fail. But the kids laughed at the stupid Gringos. They also went to the Buford Highway Farmer’s Market, where each aisle contains the food of a different country. Resonate set up at by the exit door so that no one could leave without hearing God’s praises.
The afternoons were spent at five dif-ferent apartment complexes. The stu-
dents went door-to-door to gather a group of children to share Jesus with. Since the parents didn’t speak English our students could only say, “Hola, fiesta, gratis, ni-nos?” Crazily, it worked. Parents would give them their children! They played sports together and got to share a Bible story. Many children understood the Gos-pel of Jesus Christ as shared by our stu-dents and accepted Him as their Savior! They truly had an eternal impact!
But if you didn’t get to go, you’re not a heathen, and you didn’t miss your only opportunity! God calls us to live a mis-sional life, not just spend one week on a mission trip. You don’t have to be in a special group or on a specific trip to share what Christ has done in your life! Share Him with your life every day!
