Let Your Children enjoy monsoon with little
care!
Provide clean surround-ings , clean drinking water and proper rain wear for kids.
Train kids proper hand washing at proper time.
Provide freshly cooked healthy food & clean fruits.
Avoid AC’s in the mon-soon as it makes the room temperature low.
Do not enter air condi-tioned room with wet hair and wet clothes.
Keep a small mesh bag of cloves near your win-dow or in your cupboard for a fresh natural scent.
Hot water bath makes your child fresh and re-laxed. Add few drops of antiseptic liquid in bathing water. Maintain their feet dry and clean. Wear dry clothes to avoid flu at-tacks.
Do not allow kids to play in stagnant, polluted pud-dles.
Train them cover mouth and nose while sneezing and coughing. Avoid crowded places to prevent infections.
For Better communication with your children
Listen to your child -Always listen to your child very pa-tiently and let him explain things in his own words.
Be equal -You should be equal at your child's emotion-al level whenever he / she tells something about his hap-piness or problems.
Share your experiences mutually -Instead of telling your children do’s and don’ts, you share your good / bad experiences with them even-tually they will learn to share their experiences with you.
Ask them for help and Make them feel responsible. e.g. You can ask them” Please help me to clean your study table”, rather than telling them , " Don't keep your table dirty and untidy.”
Avoid distractions like Cell phones and laptops during interactions. When your child is talking to you, keep everything aside and give great importance to your child. Your child will sense that importance and it will improve their self-esteem and confidence.
Counselor's Column Library Column Health Tips
Reading can show, You CARE for your child.
Reading can help, You CONNECT with your
child. Reading can unlock,
CONFIDENCE in your child. The tips below offer some fun ways you can help your child become a happy and confident reader.
Focus on what you can do, not what you can’t.
Find the right type and lev-el of book.
Creating a regular ‘special time’ to read together.
Take time to listen.
Strike a balance between
perfection and connection - praising them for the words they get right.
Talk about what you’ve read.
Enjoy reading everywhere.
Ask for extra help if you think your child needs it – visit to school library.
Think outside the book! - making a simple book togeth-er with pictures they draw or photos they take.
Have fun! – e.g. Encourag-ing them to be ‘story detec-tives’, looking for clues in the
pictures

Message from Tulips coordinator
Dear Parents, We are happy to inform that our young Tulips (Junior KG children) now know what classroom discipline is and
are following it. Also they are aware and follow healthy eating habits and good table manners.
We do see that they are enjoying learning at PDIS. For better communication, we request you to kindly send the school diary (Almanac) with the child everyday and make it a point to go through it everyday without fail so that you are well updated. We need to do this regularly as these little ones are still developing their prop-er communication skills.
