Prior to joining The Edge Singapore as the Head of Academics, Stanley was an Academic Director and university lecturer at several U.S. and U.K. universities, focusing on business undergraduate and post-graduate teaching. With roles such as Head of the Business faculty and Academic Liaison Officer, he was involved in the accreditation of higher education institutions by external accreditation bodies.

Victoria Ling BBA (NUS)General Paper, English Language, English Literature and Theory of Knowledge

Victoria started out in the corporate industry in sales, marketing and business development upon graduation from the National University of Singapore. She worked for various MNCs like British Telecom, Digital, Compaq, and HP until 8 years ago, when her best friend started a BTEC school in Vietnam. Victoria joined her and taught BTEC subjects such as Management, Marketing, Business English and English, after which she ventured to China. For the past 6 years, Victoria taught English, Literature, SAT, TOEFL, IELTS in New Oriental, Beijing, as a Foreign English Teacher.

Iris Yao BSc (NUS)Mathematics and Biology

Iris worked at an international school in Singapore, specialising in GCE ‘O’/’A’ Levels, IGCSE as well as IB Mathematics. She possess a Bachelor of Science Degree from NUS, majoring in Mathematics. Being young and energetic, students experience laughter and active participation in her classroom. Therefore, it is not uncommon for her students to improve to grade A within a few months and many of them have even developed a lifelong love for Mathematics.

Soo Seng MPhil (Cambridge), MSc (NUS), BEng (UTM)Mathematics and Physics

Soo Seng is currently an admissions consultant, test preparation instructor and academic tutor at The Edge Learning Center Singapore. An educator with an engineering background, he has worked in the educational field for 5 years. Prior to embarking on his teaching career with The Edge Learning Center Singapore, he taught Chemical Engineering to diploma students at a local polytechnic and provided private tuition to secondary school students.

Dr Jerome Lim PhD (NUS), BSc (NTU) Chemistry

Dr Jerome is a dedicated teacher with PhD from NUS and has more than 5 years experience in teaching Chemistry to private and group classes. He engages students through fun and interactive methods to inspire learning.

Dr Sia E.K. PhD (Darmstadt), MSc (NTU), MBA (Strathclyde), BEng (NTU) Mathematics and Physics

Dr Sia is a seasoned teacher of Physics and Engineering with over a decade of experience. He is well liked by high school students of an international school who love that he imparts his vast knowledge and teachings through interesting methodologies.

Howard ChoyBA (Hons) (NUS)IB Psychology, GCE ‘O’ Level Maths, Physics and Chemistry

Howard has been a lecturer with ITE, YMCA and MDIS college, and is the author of Casco PSLE science and Marshall Cavandish English Editing assessment books for Sec 4. He has won multiple sterling awards including Tan Lark Sye (NUS) Scholarship for outstanding academic performance 2001, Singapore Psychological Society Book Prize for being The most outstanding student in Psychology 2001 and has been placed on The Dean’s List 5 times.

ShirazMSc (NTU), MSc (Dublin), PGDip (Oxford), BSc (NUS)Biology and Chemistry

Shiraz acquired his teaching experience and skills during his formal employment as an Education Officer by the Singapore Ministry of Education, where he taught secondary school students Biology, Chemistry and General Science. He acquired tutelage experience through tutoring both secondary school and JC students in Chemistry, Mathematics and Science.

Wee Wei Ching BA (NTU), DipEd (NTU)English Language and English Literature

Wei Ching was Form Teacher and Level Head Coordinator for English/ Literature/ Theatrics Departments in secondary schools. She is actively involved in research at Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy. She employs her research findings in classes, and in her design of English and Literature syllabus/ curriculum for secondary/ junior college/ IGCSE/ IB Levels.

Mathu is currently teaching English Literature and had taught at Bowen Secondary School. As an educator, Mathu aspires to foster an enlivened classroom that empathises with the lived experiences of humanity.
