TEN TIPS FOR SUCCESSFUL 1ST YEAR

• You must establish a solid foundation in core courses

• You can re-take courses in your major

• You can seek help from SHWC on: motivation, challenges, etc.

• You must think of school as full time work

• The Academic Resource Center (ARC) is the primary learning center of the university. The ARC provide free services to all current IIT students and tutor in all undergraduate courses.

• Over 83% of the students tutored in the ARC received a passing grade (a, b or c) for their courses.
