Addresses:

• Split Ends

• Weak Hair

How:

• Rice Biopolymer – Holds ends together, reduces combing force

Hair Damage: Split Ends

Split ends are a result of mechanical damage

Factors that influence mechanical hair damage:• Chemical & Sunlight – weakens hair• Conditioning Agents – reduce combing force

These factors make the hair more prone to split ends

How can we reduce the appearance of split ends once they occur?

How do we get split ends?

Masking Split Ends

The hair cannot be resealed

An illusion must be created to convey healthy looking hair

Hair damage correlates with charge density:• The tip of the damaged hair fiber – more electronegative• The electronegative sites tend to repel each other• This acerbates the appearance of split ends

Quaternary compound:• Cationic• Low molecular weight

Masking Split Ends: How it works

Hydroxypropyltrimonium Hydrolyzed Rice Protein• Neutralizes the electric charge• Virtually eliminates static interaction

Eliminates the pressure of pushing the ends of hair apart

How the ends stay together:• Quaternized Compound

Rice Biopolymer:• High molecular weight• Holds damaged ends together

Masking Split Ends: Long lasting

Polyglucan:• Seals the hair• Provides enhanced lubricity• Reduces combing force

Does not contribute to build up• Water soluble property

Don’t be bothered by split ends

Make damaged hair appear healthy!
