ABSTRACT

Introduction: Competitive sports have a tremendous impact on our culture, influencing the values of millions of participants and spectators. Sport and physical activity are rapidly gaining recognition as simple, low-cost, and effective means of achieving development goals. Sportsmanship and the development of positive character have long been explicit goals of physical education and sport. Questions about moral character have recently come to occupy a central place in philosophical discussion. Little empirical research exists supporting that mere participation in sporting endeavors lead to the development of moral character. In fact, the opposite appears true, that sport participation may be more likely to negatively affect moral character. The purpose of this thematic paper is to reveal facts pertaining to deviant behaviours affecting character development through sports. Further, suggesting remedy to deviant behaviors and facilitating character building was also included in this paper.

Method: Present investigation was accomplished through systematic review of literature. Deviant behaviours discussed in the study included hustling, cheating, serial adultery, alcohol intoxication, fixing, doping, thuggish fighting, violence, equipment tampering, sledging etc.

Findings: Deviant behaviours have become common in the present scenario of sport. Remedial measures in the form of informal and formal education are suggested in the paper.

Conclusion: It is concluded that the sports provide many valuable functions to society. Sports may lead to positive character development if coaches actively seek to do so, and are adequately informed regarding the educational processes required.

21

Page 22: Abstract Final[1] Final

Physical education teachers, coaches, trainers or community leaders have a determining influence on a young person’s sporting experience and on the degree of 'character-building' that can arise. For character education programs to succeed, athletes need both thinking and reasoning programs, role models, a supportive environment, and the strong moral/philosophical commitment of community members, parents, coaches, teachers, students, boosters, and the media.

Key words- Character building, deviant behaviours, sportsmanship etc.

ABSTRACT

Sports which, for a very long time, was considered to be a recreational activity, has today become a thorough commercial activity generating elephantine profits. A major portion of this revenue flows from various activities such as branding, merchandising, licensing etc. which involve exploitation of the various intellectual property rights of sports clubs. In the process of forming a sports team or a sports club to organizing sports events, there is a huge amount of intellectual property created. Thus there arises an intersection between intellectual property rights and the business of sports. This article highlights various species of intellectual property associated with sports, their protection and various ways of their exploitation. The article also analyses various legal issues that arise often or are foreseen with respect to intellectual property and sports.

It occurs for the Settlers, Golfers and Badminton players and it is caused by inflammation or small tears of forearm muscles and tendons or lateral side of elbow and also caused by overloading of forearm muscles due to faulty backhand technique. Improper body positioning with elbow loading racquet, combined with late stroke and ‘wristy’ impact seem to cause this overloading. Two-handed backhand relieves the stress.

Proper racquet selection and grip size play a significant role in preventing Tennis Elbow.

Stiffer graphite type racquet with large heads that expand the impact area, or “sweet spot” preferred. Grip should be comfortable and not too small.

Best way to choose this is by measuring the distance from increase of palm to tip of ring finger.

Treatment

Rest, ice, compression, elevation (RICE) and NSAIDs.

Other Treatment: Decreased playing time; Tennis elbow support (counterforce brace); Rehabilitation; If all fails, then surgery.

ROLE OF PHYSIOTEHRAPY

In tennis elbow, physiotherapist tries to reduce pain by various techniques like deep tissue massage, exercises, acupuncture.

Exercise stretches the muscles and can also improve the movements and strengthen elbow and wrist.

ABSTRACT

Hypertension is a challenge to the medical profession. It is one of the most common cardio-vascular disease processes. Consistently elevated blood pressure is called Hypertension. Blood pressure is the force of blood against the blood vessel wall. High blood pressure occurs when there is increased tension or pressure in the arteries. The grater the pressure, the harder the heart has to work. Usually Hypertension is asymptomatic i.e. without noticeable symptom. Hence, Hypertension generally goes unnoticed in per and labile stages and only may come to know only when it sets in the fixed. Stage. This is the reason, why hypertension is known as a silent killer and a disease in disguise. In the modern age of advanced technology, people have lost their ability to recognize sickness at its subtle level. We are so busy with our hectic timetable that we only take notice of our health when serious symptom occurs. Yoga is an ancient system of self- development. This offers a holistic approach to man through its ideology & techniques. Yoga is a science and its practice harmonizes the body and mind. Yoga is immensely useful for promoting total health. It also woks effectively as a therapy in three ways- preventive, curative and rehabilitative. The yoga has proved its excellence in disorders like Hypertension. Asana like Ardha matsyendrasana, Uttanasana, Setu bandhasana, Hal asana, Janu Sirs asana, Majariasana, Virasan. Siddhasana, Padmasana, Pashchimottansasna, Sava Sana are the Asana.

Effect of Interval Training Method and Repetition Training Method on the Performance of 200mts. Sprint

Vipin Tiwari Dr. Keshav Singh Gurjar

ABSTRACT

It is well known that speed is the basic requirement for the success of all sports and games. Along with other components speed also needed in an adequate for every sports.

Speed has a complex nature as it depends to a considerable extent on the central nervous system and muscular system or we can say that it depends on the neuro-muscular coordination. Due to this fact the exact nature of speed abilities is difficult to discover and understand. Moreover, because we can influence the functioning of control nervous system only to a very limited extent, therefore speed performances can be improved to considerable extent as is the case in strength and endurance. Besides because of high role of co-coordinative process in a speed performance, the improvement of speed has to be done with specific means and methods by improving the muscular system.

The purpose of the study was to find out which method of training that is interval training or repetition training is more helpful in improving the performance of 200 meters sprint.

Thirty male students from kiddy’s corner sr.sec.school Gwalior were selected as subjects for this study. They were classified into three groups of 10 each. Out of three two were experimental and one was control group. The treatment was assigned to each group. Group ‘A’ and ‘B’ were designated as experimental, while group ‘C’ was designated as control group.

The training was given for two months, five days to both the experimental groups. The volume of the work was very less for very first week and it was gradually increased from second week to the last week of training programme.

On the basis of analysis of the data the following conclusions may be drawn:

There has been a significant improvement on the performance of 200 meters sprint due to the effect of Interval Training Method Programme.

35

Page 36: Abstract Final[1] Final

There has been a significant improvement on the performance of 200 meters sprint due to the effect of Repetition Training Method Programme.

No significant difference has been found between two training programmes viz. interval Training Method Programme and Repetition Training Method Programme.

In the light of conclusions drawn the following recommendations are made:

Interval training is necessary for all the sports and games according to their nature or need.

Interval training and repetition training should be given emphasis for almost all sports and games when different forms of speed are required at the same time.

Sports Law IssuesN.B. Shukla

Tushar Dhar Shukla

ABSTRACT

Until recently times were never a part of the landscape of sports law. However, in 1975 an Illinois’ appeals court established the notion that players can be found guilty of negligence if their actions are “deliberate, willful or with a reckless disregard for the safety of another player so as cause injury to that player.” See Nabozny v. Barnhill. Negligence torts are typically harder to prove in contact sports, where violent actions and injuries are more common and thus more expected (assumption of risk or self- defense). Spectators can also sue for negligence if their injuries could not have been expected (not foreseeable) given the nature of the sporting event they were attending. A baseball fan sitting in the bleachers could reasonable expect a baseball could come toward the seat, but a wrestling fan sitting courtside could not reasonably expect a wrestler to come flying his or her way.

Sports’ tort law extends into other less obvious areas. Team doctors could be liablc for medical malpractice, a form of negligence, for giving a player a false clean bill of health just so that player may continue to perform. A player who purposefully causes bodily harm to another athlete, coach or spectator may be guilty of committing an intentional tort along with a criminal act of assault and battery. The law of defamation

36

Page 37: Abstract Final[1] Final

protects a person’s good character or reputation. The publication of false information about a well-known athlete (public figure) may be actionable if it was published with a reckless disregard for the truth or actual malice. The growth of non-traditional media outlets, e.g. web pages, instant messaging, cable, etc. has added a new dynamic to this area of the law.

Closely related to the subject of torts in some ways, is the area of publicity rights. While the tort of defamation protects a person’s reputation, the right of publicity permits a person to commercial exploit his or her likeness, name and image. This area of sports law includes trademarks, trade names, domain names and even copyrights.

Business and Academic Aspects of Sports LawDr. N. B. Shukla

Tushar Dhar Shukla

The leaders of the businesses of sports include the heads of the major international and national organizations of the IOC, USOC, and their respective NGBs. The owners of major professional sports teams ranging from the Rooney family in Pittsburgh to Al Davis in Oakland are all major contributors to the popularity of their respective sports and industries. The executive directors of the various players association, including one of the longest sifting union leaders - Donald Fehr - of the MLB Players Association, also have become well known publicly for negotiating CBAs in the best interests of its players. The owners of each professional sports league elect a commissioner who serves as that sport’s media voice. Perhaps the best known commissioner is the NBA’s David Stern. Television and other media executives and reporters play a critical role in presenting sports before the public allowing instantaneous unfolding of occasionally civil and criminal sports acts. The so-called Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction during an NFL Super Bowl half-time show raised legal issues of broadcast indecency, by way of example.

The field of sports law as an area worthy of definition and academic inquiry owes a debt of gratitude to Professor Robert Berry who organized the material and taught the first course in Sports Law at Boston College Law School [ctk1ti0u1 needed] Shortly thereafter, the late Robert Waters(University of Miami Law School) and Professors Weistart and Lowell contributed substantially to the field.[ctatt0u? needed] At the

The Tulane University Law School offers a certificate in Sports Law and runs the Sports Lawyers Journal, a student-run law journal funded by the Sports Lawyers Association (SLA).

ABSTRACT

The objective of this study is to assess the effect of residential yoga training on Psychological parameters among the adolescent students having suicidal tendency and mental-ill-health. Survey was done on 20,000 students to assess the suicidal tendency by using the Suicidal Tendency Questionnaire (STQ). 90 students (39 boys and 51 girls), having suicidal tendency, were selected for one month residential experimental study with one month follow-up. Subjects were divided into Experimental & Control groups. Each group consists of 45 students with the age range 17 to 23 years (Mean ±SD; 19.24 ±1.36). Pre-Post-follow-up data were collected on Suicidal Tendency Questionnaire (STQ). 1 6PF, Word Association Test (WAT). Locus of Control (LOC) & Kaivalyadhama Yoga Attitude Scale (KYAS). RMANOVA test followed by post-hoc analysis showed significant descending profile in suicidal tendency among experimental group as compared to the control group. As per observation, deterioration in frustration (p<O.O5) and

38

Page 39: Abstract Final[1] Final

improving the mental health (p<O.OS) may be the cause for the decline in suicidal tendency after one month of yoga training. Moreover, significant improvement also seen in emotional stability, Happy, expedient, boldness, trust, shrewdness, placid, Undisciplined self-conflict, tension & anxiety at 0.05 levels. Further improvement were seen in WAT (p<O.05) and KYAS (p<O.O5). High magnitude of change also observed in LOC (p<O.O5). The study summarizes that yoga practice leads to reversal and prevention of suicidal tendency as indicated in psychological results.

Relationship of Selected Physical and Physiological Variables to the Performance of Standing Broad Jump

Sumalya RoyAssistant Professor,

Chatra Rarnai Pundit Mahavidyalaya, Burdwan Univervity West Bengal.

ABSTRACT

Jumping is used in some forms or other in almost every activity. Standing Broad Jump is one of the methods to measure the leg explosive power which played an important role in sports performance. The study tried to pay immense concentration to find out the relationship of selected physical and physiological variables with the performance of Standing Broad Jump of male college sports personalities. Physical variables which chosen for the study were Leg Length, Leg Volume, Total Body Weight, and fat weight and as physiological variables Blood pressure, Breath hold Capacity, Vital Capacity and Anaerobic Capacity were selected. For the purpose of present study preliminarily 75 male sports personalities were randomly selected from various sports discipline of Lakshmibai National University of Physical Education. Gwalior, M.P and after that on the basis of their standing broad performance first 30 male, age in between 18-23 years were finally chosen as subject for the study.

To find out the mentioned relationship Pearson Product Moment Correlation was applied after collecting the data. After computation the statistics, at 0.05 level of significance, result indicated that Leg Length, Leg Volume, Total Body Weight, Breath hold Capacity (negative), and Anaerobic Capacity had significant positive relationship with standing broad jump performance whereas blood pressure, vital capacity and fat weight showed insignificant relation to the SB.] performance. The

39

Page 40: Abstract Final[1] Final

result might be attributed to the fact that increasing leverage action due to greater leg length, higher muscular strength is directly proportional to the muscle diameter, total body weight is related for gaining optimum momentum, anaerobic nature of SB.? is directly related to negative breath hold capacity and anaerobic capacity of an individual. In other hand the parameters blood pressure, vital capacity and fat weight are somehow related with aerobic potentiality of a sports personality. Result might be differed in case of alteration of the form of jumping.

Key Word: Standing Broad Jump, Pearson Product Moment Correlation, Physical and Physiological Variables.

Coordinative abilities are primarily dependent on the motor control and regulation process of the central nervous system. For each Coordinative ability the motor control and regulation process function in a definite pattern; when a particular aspect of these functions is improved then the sportsman is in a better position to carry out a certain group of movements which for their execution depends on the central nervous system functioning pattern. It is evident in various studies that to enhance the performance capabilities in any field of one’s interest, coordinative abilities are essential to be developed from his childhood days. So the researcher was interested to find out if there was any significant difference between the General Education and Physical Education students in respect of coordinative abilities. For the purpose of the study forty students (20 male and 20 female) age ranging from 23-28 years were selected randomly from each colleges, namely Dishari College of Education and Post Graduate Govt. Institute for Physical Education. The Variables selected under Coordinative abilities are Orientation Ability measured by Numbered Medicine Ball Run test, Differentiation Ability measured by Backward Medicine Ball Throw Test, Reaction Ability measured by Nelson Hand Reaction Test, Balance Ability measured by stock Stand Test and Rhythmic Ability were measured by Sprint of Given Rhythm Test. (Professor) Department of physical education & sportsPondicherry University

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to know the benefits and influence on girl’s participation in physical activity and sports. Evidence suggests that from an early age, differences in gender- based attitudes towards and opportunities for sports and physical activities can have a significant influence on children’s participation. This in turn, affects later involvement in physically active lifestyles, and the social and health benefits that may result for them. There are remarkable

• benefits to participation in physical activity and sports regarding physical, social, and emotional as reduced risks of a variety of diseases, leads to weight control, lower the level of blood sugar and prevention of osteoporosis in later age. Participation brings generalized feeling of empowerment among girls as well as it reduces the levels of anxiety, stress and depression. Regardless these benefits there are hindrance in the path of girl’s participation in physical activity and sports. One of them is gender difference beside this factors which influence are

• biological, psychological, social and environmental such as age, family, motivation, attitudes, type of activity etc. The benefits of participation in physical activities are great, and the potential costs of inactivity can be severe. Many girls around the world are not currently able to take advantage of the benefits of regular sports and physical activities due to inequitable access and opportunities. Therefore, a central challenge

43

ABSTRACT

Introduction: As the proportion of the world’s population in the older ages continue to increase, the need for improved information and analysis of ageing increases. Modernization and urbanization have weakened traditional family structure, and precipitated value changes, which in turn have placed the older adults at economic and psychological stress. Age and gender were found to be influencing factors for the hand grip strength. Unrecognized and untreated depression has fatal consequences in terms of both suicide and non suicide mortality. The public health community can monitor depression in the population and promote chronic disease prevention efforts. The purpose of this empirical study was to explore association between age, depression and hand grip strength among older adults.

Methods: The subjects for the present cross-sectional study were 102 older adults residing in old age homes of Shimoga district between the age group of 61 and 95 years. Hand grip strength measured by the help of an analogue hand grip dynamometer was used as a proxy for physical performance among older adults. Assessment of depression was accomplished by means of Short Form Geriatric Depression Scale (Yesavage, et al., 1983). Correlation coefficient between age, depression and grip strength were determined by employing Pearson product moment correlation coefficient.

Results: There was a significant correlation between age and grip strength in both male and female; depression and right hand grip strength in both male and female; but depression was not significantly correlated with left hand grip strength. Further it was observed that there was a significant correlation between age and depression in female

45

Page 46: Abstract Final[1] Final

section where as such a significant correlation was not observed between age and depression in male section.

Conclusion: This research supports the hypothesis that the hand grip strength and age were influencing factors for the prediction of depression among older adults. There was negative correlation between grip strength and age; right hand grip strength was negatively correlated with depression; and positive relationship between age and depression among older women was observed.

Key words: Depression, physical performance, hand grip strength, older adults.

ABSTRACT

Ayurveda has the distinction of being the “oldest medical system known to man and the oldest and most comprehensive spiritual teachings in the world”. Ayurveda is based on the principle of maintaining a balance between the interrelated relationships within the body and mind. It helps the patient to understand the benefits of knowing their body and mind and to live in intimate relationship with nature. According to IMS Health reports the global pharmaceutical market is expected to reach $1.1 trillion in 2014. The size of the market is expected to grow nearly $300 billion over the next five years. According to World Health Organization (WHO), three-quarters of the world population relies upon traditional remedies (mainly herbs) for the health care (Anwarul Hassan Gilani, 2005). There is prominent shit from Western medicinal system to Traditional system not only in developing countries, but in developed countries too. WHO estimates that, the ftsent demand for medicinal plants is-- US $14 billion a year and by 2050 it would be —US $5 trillion (Aneesh, 2009). Cost effectiveness and fewer side effects are the added advantage of traditional systems compared with allopathic system with harmful side effects and high cost. Ayurveda

and Traditional Chinese Medicinal (TCM) system are the most ancient traditional medicinal systems of the world (Bhushan Patwardhan et al., 2005). Due to the increasing demand of the Traditional medicinal system, WHO is very keen in creating guidelines and standards for Herbal remedies (WHO, 2092). Chinese medicinal system gained considerable ground in the international arena by their research and science based approach. Even though Ayurveda is one of the world’s oldest traditional medicinal systems with well documented literature accounts, it is struggling hard to establish itself in the international market. India as great opportunities waiting in the areas related to patents and trademarks Aneesh. 2009). India needs to identify the extent to which Ayurvedic therapeutics is safe and effective so that it could get wide global acceptance.

ABSTRACT

Flaxseed and flaxseed oil (Linum usitatissimum [Latin]), also called linseed oil, comes from the flax plant, which has been cultivated for domestic use since prehistoric times. Flaxseed is an excellent source of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), an omega-3 fatty acid that has been linked to a

• reduced risk of breast and colon cancer. Enzymes in your body convert the linolenic acid in flaxseed into docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA)—the same fatty acids found in fish oil, which have been found to help prevent cardiovascular disease. Both flaxseed and flaxseed oil offer substantial cardiovascular protection to the body. Diets rich in alpha-linolenic acid have been shown to help lower both total cholesterol and LDL (bad) cholesterol levels. Alpha-linolenic acid has also been shown to reduce the amount of triglycerides in the body. Eating flaxseed may also help lower blood pressure and blood sugar levels. Whole or ground

Page 48: Abstract Final[1] Final

flaxseed contains substances called lignaus that help block the estrogen supply needed to sustain breast cancer tumors. The phytoestrogens in whole flaxseed may help ease menopausal symptoms by acting as a sort of natural estrogen replacement therapy. The fiber found in flaxseed acts as a laxative and helps promote normal digestion; as the flaxseed fiber is digested in the intestine it forms mucilage, a sticky substance that helps coat the stomach and

• ease symptoms gastritis, constipation, and irritable bowel syndrome. Eating flaxseed regularly may help prevent colon cancer.

Athletes at Risk of Overtraining*AJEET KUMAR CHAUBEY

**AJAY KUMAR PANDAYSHARVAN SHUKALA

ABSTRACT

Athletes fail to perform to the best of their ability if they become infected, stale, sore or malnourished. Excessive training with insufficient recovery can lead to a debilitating syndrome in which performance and well being can be affected for months. Eliminating or minimizing these problems by providing advice and guidelines on training loads, recovery times, nutrition or pharmacological intervention and regular monitoring of athletes using an appropriate battery of markers can help prevent the development of an overtraining syndrome in athletes. The potential usefulness of objective physiological, biochemical and immunological markers of overtraining has received much attention in recent years. Practical markers would be ones that could be measured routinely in the laboratory and offered to athletes as part of their sports science and medical support. The identification of common factors among over trained athletes in comparison with well-trained athletes not suffering from underperformance could permit appropriate intervention to prevent athletes from progressing to a more serious stage of the overtraining syndrome. To date, no single reliable objective marker of impending overtraining has been identified. Some lines of research do, however show promise and are based on findings that over trained athletes appear to exhibit an

• altered hormonal response to stress. For example, in response to a standardized bout (or repeated bouts) of high intensity exercise, over trained athletes show a lower heart rate, blood lactate and plasma cortical response. Several immune measures that can be obtained from a resting blood sample (e.g. the expression of specific cell surface proteins such as CD45RO÷ on T-lymphocytes) also seem to offer some hope of identifying impending overtraining. If an athlete is suspected of suffering from overtraining syndrome, other measures will also required, if only to exclude other possible causes of underperformance including post-viral fatigue, glandular fever, clinical depression, poor diet, anemia, asthma, allergies, Thyroid disorders, myocarditis and other medical problems interfering with recovery.

The Impact of Moderate and High Intensity Total Body Fatigue on Passing Accuracy in Trained and Untrained

Basketball Players*Rajeev Srivastava ** and Dr.D.Sakthignanavel

ABSTRACT

Despite the acknowledged importance of fatigue on performance in sport, ecologically sound studies investigating fatigue and its effects on sport-specific skills are surprisingly rare. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of moderate and high intensity total body fatigue on passing accuracy in trained and untrained basketball players. Ten untrained basketball players (age: 23.30 ± 1.05 yrs) and ten trained basketball players (age: 22.50 ± 0.41 yrs) volunteered to participate in the study. Both groups performed the modified AAHPERD Basketball Passing Test under three different testing conditions: rest, moderate intensity and high intensity total body fatigue. Fatigue intensity was established using a percentage of the maximal number of squat thrusts performed by the participant in one minute. ANOVA with repeated measures revealed a significant (F 2.36 = 5.252, p = 0.01) level of fatigue by level of skill interaction. On examination of the mean scores it is clear that following high intensity total body fatigue there is a significant detriment in the passing performance of both untrained and trained basketball players when compared to their resting scores. Fundamentally however, the detrimental impact of fatigue on passing performance is not as steep in the trained players compared to the untrained players. The results suggest that trained or skilled players are better able to cope with both moderate and high intensity fatigue conditions and maintain a higher level of performance when compared to untrained players. The findings of this research therefore, suggest the need for trainers and conditioning coaches in basketball to include moderate, but particularly high intensity exercise into their skills sessions. This specific training may enable players at all levels of the game to better cope with the demands of the game on court and maintain a higher standard of play.

ABSTRACT

The present study has been conducted on one hundred twenty six junior male power lifters (sixty three each from state and national level competition) to find out the difference between their physique and body composition Each subject has been measured anthropometrically by following the technique of Tanner et at (1969). Percentage of body fat has been estimated by applying the method of Brozek et al (1963) to the body density obtained from the formulae given by Durnin and Womersley (1974). Somatotype was assessed by using the method of Heath and Carter (1967).

The data was treated by applying” 1” test.

The result revealed that power lifters having national participation in their credit were found to possess significantly (p<O5) greater biacrornial diameter, upper arm, hip, chest and thigh circumferences. They also possess significantly high mesomorphic rating than their counterparts. It is also worth recording that higher representation level power lifters were shorter in height and had lower percentage of body fat than the lower representation group of power lifters, it was concluded that higher representation power lifters differ from the lower representation group in the parameters which arc correlated with the performance.

ABSTRACT

Football is a game that can be played by all the ages. It can be highly competitive, requiring high level of fitness, agility and coordination or it can be relaxing and highly enjoyable reaction. To play cogitatively the game requires concentration and quick thinking and a great deal of movements. The Speed of the game means the players might be thinking of attack at one movement and the defense the next movement, the must he concentrating all the time if they are to keep up with play. Football is an all action game with none of the player acting as involuntary spectator for part of the game as in other team such as Basketball, Hockey and Netball.

The Indian coach, the late S.A.Rahim, advised his players to keep the ball along the ground and make short passes. Adopting these tactics, the Indians did not allow the hefty Australians to play their normal robust game Neville D’Souza earned the distinction of being the first Indian to score a beautiful hat- trick. In the semifinal, India played against Yugoslavia Indians, who were in a positive mood, wanted to take revenge as Yugoslavia had defeated them by 10 goals to 1 in the 1952 Olympics in I Helsinki, Finland. The Indians could hold them in the first half and took the lead in the second hall’ through the solo charts of Neville D’Souza. But Yugoslavia increased the pressure and scored four goals in a row. In a playoff match for the bronze medal India lost to l3ulgaria by 3 goals 1A 1. In this manner, India got fourth position after just winning one match.

ABSTRACT

Anthropometry is a since or technology which deals with the measurement of a size shape and proportion of the human body. Eiben (1972) define “physique as the morphological constitution of the adult person which is formed by the manifestation or genetically endowment and as result of adaptation processes of environmental effect”. It has a rich tradition sports science and physical education e.g. effec1’. Investigation of the physique of Olympic athletes 1mm 1928 to 1 976 Kohlrausch 1929, Amsterdem 1928 Olympic events and even within sports specialties. Similarly studies conducted by Joki (1964) of the Olympics using the data from 1962 Helsinki Olympic. Hirata (1966) at the 1964 Olympic game in Tokyo, observed considerable difference in age height and weight of participants in different events. De Garay et al. (1974) during Mexico Olympic noticed similar variation in morphological characteristics. Carter (1982) in the MOGAP study showed large size difference between athletes in some events and sports, but some similarities between others.

Athletes are a group of people who have been subjected to a selection process through various competitive tests resulting in their identity as those best physically fit. Therefore they provide a suitable group for the study of their morphological variation and other characteristics in the process of adaptation. (Shukla 2010).

Significantly better develop among them. The half- hacks who as the name suggest have to perform both the function defending and feeding the attacker process body’ size and composition by fitting their requirements in play. L’hus they are shorter and lighter among all sub-groups.

Development Of A Test To Check The Performance of Any Individual Or Team In Cricket Without The Use Of

Technology i.e. A Traditional ApproachRatnesh

ABSTRACT

About Cricket:

Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of 11 players on a field, at the centre of which is a rectangular 22-yard long pitch. One team bats, trying to score as many runs as possible while the other team bowls and fields, trying to dismiss the batsmen and thus limit the runs scored by the batting team. A run is scored by the striking batsman hitting the ball with his bat, running to the opposite end of the pitch

59

Page 60: Abstract Final[1] Final

and touching the crease there without being dismissed. The teams switch between batting and fielding at the end of an innings.

In professional cricket the length of a game ranges from 20 overs of six bowling deliveries per side to Test cricket played over five days.

The Laws of Cricket are maintained by the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) with additional Standard Playing Conditions for Test matches and One Day Internationals.

A cricket match is divided into periods called innings. During an innings (innings ends with “s” in both singular and plural form), one team fields and the other bats. The two teams switch between fielding and batting after each innings. All eleven members of the fielding team take the field, but only two members of the batting team (two batsmen) are on the field at any given time.

The key action takes place in the pitch, a rectangular strip in the centre of the field. The two batsmen face each other at opposite ends of the pitch, each behind a line on the pitch known as a crease. The fielding team’s eleven members stand outside the pitch, spread out across the field.

ABSTRACT

“To live one must eat. But, we not only eat to live, what we eat also affects our ability to keep healthy, do work, to be happy and to live well. Knowledge of what to eat and in what quantities is a prerequisite to the healthy and happy life.’

The health of India's people has improved significantly since independence sixty years ago. But, a high proportion of the population continues to suffer and die from easily preventable diseases and childbirth-related complications. Nutrition is an input to and foundation for health and development. Better nutrition means stronger immune systems, less illness and better health. Good nutrition requires a satisfactory diet, which is capable of supporting the individual consuming it, in a state of good health by providing the desired nutrients in required amounts. It must provide the right amount of fuel to execute normal physical activity. If the total amount of nutrients provided in the diet is insufficient, a state of under nutrition will develop.

61

Page 62: Abstract Final[1] Final

Healthy children learn better. Healthy people are stronger, are more productive and more able to create opportunities to gradually break the cycles of both poverty and hunger in a sustainable way. Better nutrition is a prime entry point to ending poverty and a milestone to achieving better quality of life. Nutrition is one key to developing and maintaining a state of health that is optimal for you. In addition, a poor diet coupled with a sedentary lifestyle is known to be risk factors for life- threatening chronic diseases and death. Freedom from hunger and malnutrition is a basic human right and their alleviation is a fundamental prerequisite for human and national development.

ABSTRACT

Sport has been one of the most important socio-cultural learning experiences for boys and men for many years. The participation of girls and women in sport challenges gender stereotypes and discrimination, and can therefore be a vehicle to promote gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls. In particular, women in sport leadership can shape attitudes towards women’s capabilities as leaders and decision-makers, especially in traditional male domains. Women’s involvement in sport can make a significant contribution to public life and community development. The positive outcomes of sport for gender equality and women’s empowerment are constrained by gender based discrimination in all areas and at all levels of sport and physical activity, fuelled by continuing stereotypes of women’s physical abilities and social roles. Women are frequently segregated involuntarily into different types of sports, events and competitions specifically targeted to women. Women’s access to positions of leadership and decision-making is constrained from the local level to the international level. The value placed on women’s sport is often lower, resulting in

62

Page 63: Abstract Final[1] Final

inadequate resources and unequal wages and prizes. In the media, women’s sport is not only marginalized but also often presented in a different style that reflects and reinforces gender stereotypes. Violence against women, exploitation and harassment in sport are manifestations of the perceptions of men’s dominance, physical strength and power, which are traditionally portrayed in male sport. The role of men and boys in challenging and changing unequal power relations is critical. In recent years, a stronger focus has developed on the positive role men and boys can and do play in promoting women’s empowerment in many different areas, including in the home, the community and the labor market. The current dominance of men in the world of sport makes their involvement and contributions to achieving gender equality in this area critical.

ABSTRACT

My body strengthens by mind

Healthy mind lives in healthy body. It is not a luxury to feel this, but a necessity, the strength of your heart is decisive for your fitness. This will show you how you; an easily reach a level of better fitness and well-being with Aerobics and your personal coach.

WHAT IS AEROBICS?

Aerobics is a series of rhythmic, large muscle exercises conducted to music. This definition does not explain the fascination of this form of exercise, however because it is much more than that: it is music, movement, a philosophy, a lifestyle. On the one hand, it is the most modern form of total body training, and on the other it is a motivation form of exercise which is simply fun. Aerobics is cardiovascular form of training which in addition improves coordination, muscle strength and mobility. It improves a person's physiological or functional capacity and enables him or her to achieve an improved quality of life and total well-being

AEROBICS AND AEROBICS ACTIVITIES

Exercise is not only a part of our leisure time but is also increasingly used for the prevention and curing of the diseases of the modern way of life. The increased level of technology and automation means that our industrial societies are characterized by a lack of physical activity. All "Aerobics" endurance sports are of particular importance for our health, since our natural consumption of calorie; through work and daily activities has considerably decreased. The focus in these health-oriented exercise programmes should be on the improvement of cardiac efficiency and muscle firmness. Training experience shows that most recreations exercisers do not know their bodies well enough to be able to exercise properly They usually train too hard or too casually. In order to judge the right intensity level on e has to know about the different energy systems.

The working ability of a muscle depends on a sufficient blood flow of oxygen and nutrition intake. The type of energy supply is essentially depended on the type of the muscle activity and the intensity of the exercise. The body uses two different systems of energy supply.

Aerobics system: carbohydrates and fat are used with oxygen and metabolized to carbon dioxide and water.

An Anaerobic system: glucose is used for energy production without oxygen and metabolized to lactic acid.

Most of or daily activities can be carried out at the Aerobics energy supply level. For example, while walking, washing the car or doing other chores, the oxygen consumption of our muscles matches our oxygen intake. This activity could be sustained for a long period. But if we run up the stairs fast, for example, our muscles begin to work an aerobically, because the supply of oxygen is no longer sufficient.

The waste product of the metabolism that takes place in an Aerobics activity is lactate, which blocks fat metabolism and forces the body to stop the activity. The metabolic turning-point of which the body changes from the Aerobics to the an Aerobics energy system is called the An Aerobics Threshold. Fat serve, as the main energy source for a long Aerobics endurance performance, while carbohydrates will supply the energy for a short burst of an Aerobics activity.

65

Page 66: Abstract Final[1] Final

The goal in an Aerobics class is to reach a "steady state" which means that your heart rate should stay at a constant level for as long as possible during the Aerobics phase.

In order to improve one's level of fitness both energy systems must be trained, but in Aerobics exercise as the name states, Aerobics training should be in the foreground. This implies that you should set your individual training goals and calculate your training heart rate before beginning and exercise programme. A heart rate monitor will help you to stay in the desired target zone. Jump to the beat, but in your own target heart rate zone.

Health Benefits of Aerobics Training Long-Term Physiological Effects:

Speeds up metabolism, which means more calories burned

Prevents cardiac diseases by lowering blood pressure and slowing down atherosclerotic processes

Improves the heart's ability to pump blood

Improves oxygen intake and Aerobics fitness

Improves muscular endurance

Improves flexibility and mobility

Improves muscular strength

Improves posture

Improves body performance in all age ranges and slows down the ageing process

Psychological Effects:

Reduces stress

Improves daily performance

Increase self-esteem though weight management

It is fun

Structure of an Aerobics Class: There are various kinds of Aerobics classes, but most of them have the same basic structure, which is described below:

66

Page 67: Abstract Final[1] Final

a) Warm-up-The warm-up should last five to ten minutes and its purpose is to prepare your body for the exercise stress. Your heart rate and body temperature will increase gradually, and this will lead to a higher metabolic rate. The accelerated metabolism will speed up the "nerve impulses and provided better co-ordination of movement. The main muscles which will be used later in the workout should be stretched. A warm-up will reduce the risk of injury by giving the muscles increased elasticity. And it will also improve heart function, as the heart muscle will receive a greater blood flow and oxygen supply.

b) The Aerobics or cardio phase- This phase lasts 20-60 minutes depending on the type of class, but it must last at least 30 minutes in order to accomplish any improvement in the cardiovascular systems and in body composition through (the stimulus from) the amount of calories burned. It is important to exercise within the set target rate zone during the whole Aerobics phase, and in order to accomplish this the large muscle groups, e.g. in the legs must be moving continuously. If the emphasis of the training is on body toning it is advisable to extend this phase up to 40 minutes.

c) Cooling off-Cooling off should take approximately five minutes. This phase is aimed at stabilizing the cardiovascular system after the intensive exercise. During active recovery the heart rate should decrease to the lower end of its target range.

d) Calisthenics / Floor work-The duration of this phase will depend on the target of the class. Its aim is to train muscular strength and endurance in order to support body posture. Minor posture weaknesses can be eliminated by targeted strengthening of certain muscles.

e) Stretching-Stretching exercises are a very important part of an Aerobics class since they reduce the risk of injury. The main targets are improved mobility and flexibility, and relaxation ads lowering of the heart rate to the starting level are also important.

SOME EXERCISES THAT SHOULD BE AVOIDED -Not all gymnastic exercises that are used in sports (well over 1,000 of them) have a beneficial effect for the average person, and some can even cause more harm than good when performed for a long period of time under unfavorable circumstances. The list of exercises that should not be included in a modern Aerobics programme includes: windmill, plough, flick-knife, bending forward from the hips with straight knees and without support, sit-ups with straight knees etc. You should also be careful to exert an equal level of stress on both legs; jumping more than 4 times on one foot or stepping with the same foot for

67

Page 68: Abstract Final[1] Final

more than 1 minute in step Aerobics is stressful for joints. Each time a foot jumps the pressure of the joint ligaments is approximately 3 times the total body weight.

Ethics of Dope Test in Sports- Issues and ConcernDr. S.C.ROY, Associate Professor (Law), Chanakya National Law University, Patna.

ABSTRACT

Games and sports are one of the parts of human recreation. Even the old man enjoys sports and feels energetic and many of their woes are vanished. But with the increase in sports events and its commercialization some cunning practices have entered into sports. Among another one is use of drugs for enhancing performance. Generally individual performer uses such drugs but it has entered into group sports also where all the individual performers contribute to the team. The organizations advocate such ban for clean sports .No one can oppose ethics and aesthetics in sports. As sports persons are the role model for the new entrants. It is presumed that the excellence in sports is the result of physical, mental and moral practices in the ground and off the ground. Drugs consumption for performance enhancement is a blow over the sports fan. Though many argue that it is little different from the use of new materials in the construction of suits and sporting equipments. But the side effect of drugs on health of sports person and morality in sports are public concern.

In this context, the paper seeks to study the ethics of DOP test to detect AAS.The motive behind this move is propelled by alleged health threat, equality of opportunity in sports and clean sports in the public. The historical development in the use of drugs and the reason for ban over it by various countries and organizations will be critically analysed. It will be the endeavor to find out any alternative to the banned drugs if any which may be natural and harmless.

New Dimensions in Character Development through SportsMr. Shivakumar S

ABSTRACT

Competitive sports have a tremendous impact on our culture, influencing the values of millions of participants and spectators. In ancient societies, athletics and especially competitive contact games always have been rough, but aggression in the past was tempered by an insistence that playing hard, playing to win, did not countenance playing to cheat and to hurt. Questions about moral character have recently come to occupy a central place in philosophical discussion. Sport and physical activity are rapidly gaining recognition as simple, low-cost, and effective means of achieving development goals. It is popularly believed that participation in sport and physical activity not only leads to increased physical health, but can also play an important role in facilitating the learning of appropriate social behaviour, and it may positively impact children’s self-esteem.

Sportsmanship and the development of positive character have long been explicit goals of physical education and sport. A strong belief exists that sport programs have the power to promote the development of sportsmanship and moral character. In the hands of the right people with the right attitudes, sport can be a positive, character-building experience. It provides one of the best opportunities for children to come in contact with rules and social values. It defines the need to get along well with others and be accepted as part of a team.

Sports unify us as a nation, a community, a group. Sports teach you sportsman spirit, respect, equality, spirit of ethical competition. Sports, as a result, have an elevated position in our lives. Kids are taught sports in school, not with the aim of making them sportsmen later in their lives, but because it molds you as a person- it inculcates discipline, clarity of thought, teaches you the aspects of planning and preparation, and so many other positive aspects, in addition to the obvious benefit of keeping you fit

76

Page 77: Abstract Final[1] Final

and healthy. Swami Vivekananda’s famous quote that you can get nearer to heaven through football than through the study of the Bhagavad Gita goes to show how sports can make your mind sharp and receptive.

The notion that ‘sport builds character’ does not sit well with today’s critics of competitive sport. The external pressures of high profits and high salaries have often led to the corruption of these ideals. Instead of building character, competitive sport, which value winning above all else, challenges this notion. The more important winning becomes, the more the rewards for fair play and other values are likely to be diminished. Supporting this argument Heywood Hale Broun states ‘Sports do not build character, they reveal it’.

Involvement of Women in SportsRenu Gupta

Department of Education University of Jammu

Jammu.

ABSTRACT

The purpose of the present paper was to assess the involvement of women in sports. Women play vital role in the development of India. Hence they should get the

79

Page 80: Abstract Final[1] Final

representation in all the areas like education, employment and sports. But even after the 62 years of the independence, women are still deprived in this male dominant culture and her participation is very negligible in sports. Even considering the ratio of men and women at Olympic it is 58:42. Also the number of games which are dedicated to men is more than the games that have been played by women. Even at local level like school level or intercollegiate level, women's participation in sports is very less as compare to men. The reasons for this less participation could be less % of literacy, male dominant culture, family and social level abstraction, less availability of women coach, no independent games facilities for women, child marriage, low health conscience, more emphasis on study, cut through competition in education, more emphasis on tuition classes, less importance to sports at society level, lack of government plans for sports person and lack of incentive marks.

Woman participation in sports rose dramatically in the later half of the twentieth century, reflecting changes in modern societies. Although the level of participation and performance still varies greatly by country and by sport, women’s sports have broad acceptance throughout the world. In general, to workout is as essential to women’s health as it is to men’s. For many years, girls and women were disheartened from exercising. They were criticized by men who said that they would lose their femininity if they trained in certain sports. Through history, we can find many examples of how a man has relegated women in several sport disciplines. However, they have fought very much and persistently to obtain a place in these sports that were exclusive for men. Today, we can find women that play basketball, football, baseball, soccer, and many other sports that were prohibited or where they were discriminated. Luckily, this situation has finished and now women enjoy much more liberties in several areas. Regular exercise and sports bring many benefits that women should take advantage of them in order to live healthfully. In recent years, exercising has become very popular and important for women. Probably, if you go to the nearest gym, you will see on average more women than men. Several studies have demonstrated that women can prevent several common diseases such as breast cancer, osteoporosis, and others only if they work out an amount of hours per week. Therefore, if you want to recognize those women that fought for your rights, it is a great idea to practice any sport. As women engage more actively in sports, they develop skills necessary for successful achievements in other areas of life. Sports inculcate self-confidence in a woman. When a woman excels in a particular sports,

80

Page 81: Abstract Final[1] Final

she becomes very self confident. Sports also inculcate discipline, dedication and responsibility in a woman, which she is able to apply in other areas of life as well. The present paper emphasizes that women who play sports have a more positive body image and experience higher states of psychological well-being than women who do not play sports.

The present paper reveals that in addition to physical benefits sport has many effective psychological benefits, the most prominent of which is that it protects the individual from psychological crisis resulting from tensions, it can make the person feel psychologically relaxed. It also increases and builds self-esteem and confidence, especially if he or she suffers from lack of confidence, or competences. It cools down those who are nervous and reduces depression and frustration. Therefore, most athletes, sportsmen/women may tend to be less stressed than others by feeling more positive, happy, and energetic, also we should not ignore that sports brings about positive psychological qualities and attributes such as responsibility, determination, discipline and courage.

ABSTRACT

Breathing is life. It is one of our most vital functions. One of the five principles of yoga is Pranayama or Breathing Exercise which promotes proper breathing.

In a yogic point of view, proper breathing is to bring more Oxygen to the blood and to the brain, and to control Pran or the vital life energy. Pranayama yoga also goes hand in hand with the purification and self-discipline, covering both mind and body.

Pranayama is the Science of breathe control. It is consist of series of exercises especially intended to meet the body’s needs and keep it in vibrant health.

Pranayama comes from the following words.

• Prana — “Life force” or “Life energy”

• Yama -“Discipline” or “Control”

Or we can say that Prana Ka Ana Jana, or Control on breathing techniques or control on exhale and inhale breathing.

All human beings are able to survive through their breathing system. Normally, they are busy with inhaling and exhaling in their day to life hut sometimes there are some disturbances also comes in the breathing system and man become sick. The main reason of this breathing problem that disturbance comes recently in inhaling and exhaling. So Yoga is an important solution for a disease free breathing system, who suggest useful techniques through “Pranayama”

In Pranayama three kinds are discussed as Rachaka, Kimbhaka and Puraka. Regular practice of Pranayamas can make a man healthier and free from breathing

ABSTRACT

Sponsorship is nothing but a situation in which a company agreed to pay a fees for the right to associate itself for its product with the specific events. It is an investment in cash or kind, in an activity, in return for access to the exploitable commercial potential associated with the activity. The providing organization can then use this direct association to achieve either their corporate marketing or media objectives. It is utilized as a marketing tool or more specifically as a commercial instrument. It can be used as a tool to get competitive advantage through promotional benefits in the cluttered marketplace. It is undertaken by firms to extract commercial benefits. Sponsorship has thus graduated to being a core promotion or even a core marketing tool. Sponsorship is the fastest growing market communication tool. The sponsors sponsor an event to build an image, to create a brand, to popularize a new product, to enter into the customer market, to win corporate prestige etc.

There are different sponsorship objectives, such as Increasing brand awareness, Building brand preference and loyalty, Increasing sales and market share, Brand Fit, Increase Awareness, Improve Corporate image among stakeholders, Improve brand image, Get Competitive Advantage, Sales promotion opportunities, Direct marketing opportunities, Selling opportunities, Hospitality Opportunities, Improve relations with distributors and retailers.

The additional effort, largely promotional which must be invested by the sponsor in order to properly exploit the opportunity provided as a result of securing particular sponsorship (T.Meenaghan 1991). In sports sector in our country already there exist a huge market and sports and entertainment sector has turned to a new Industry. Sponsors sponsor the athlete, team, event, tour, organization etc. It required specific sponsorship proposal. Sponsorship is a business proposal not charity. The Ingredients of a good proposal are analyzing own assets, understand the sponsors needs, concept about modern trends, demonstrate an understanding of their business, innovation, the best use of assets, companies to target, the link of the brand and the event/game, the target audience, the demographic profile, the specific database, concise and well presentation, photographs, information about previous events. After the completion of the program there must be feedback to the sponsors with Photographs, Video and other evidence (Website hits count) to the sponsor. This helps the sponsor defend the sponsorship decision, keep in regular touch with the sponsor providing details about the sport and news about your organization

General people enter in to the sports sector to see the athletic prowess, commonality, relative team quality and winning and against these they are willing to pay. Sahara sponsors the Indian Cricket team and the Indian hockey Team, Sun feast (ITC) Sponsors the WTA Open each year in Kolkata, JKsponsors Go Karting and Motor Racing in India, ONGC Sponsors the National Football League, The UB group sponsors East Bengal&Mohan Bagan, Hutch Sponsors Indian rugby. Many companies sponsor Golf in India including Hero Honda, ABN Ambro. A marathon called Mumbai marathon sponsored by Standard Chartered Bank. With different many other examples considering the Indian context we can see that there is the absence of a sports culture, a diverse culture, lack of professionalism in the sports sector, other forms of leisure, a skewed games popularity profile, absence of standard league etc. Hence no such business still occurred considering sports as one of its main ingredients. But still there is a future about sport business due to higher support from private organizations, sports has grown in huge proportions in the last decade, a liberalized economy and sport emerging as a global entity provides a vision to generate employment in the sport industry, in a globalized environment sport provides an opportunity for corporate to spread their message across countries under a unified theme.

Physical Education Programme generally organized in school in the panchayat, block, sub-division, district, state and national level. Besides these there are Colleges, Universities participants normally the students and sectors are mainly the sports and games. Physical Education programme including different sport

88

Page 89: Abstract Final[1] Final

programme occurs in the school spectrum at different level under the direct control of the district, state and national level school sports association. In the higher hierarchy the organizers are the college, university authority and somewhere specially in West Bengal the Department of Higher education also.

To create an event we have to decide that who will take part, is it having a local, regional, national or international impact, is this even recognized by a registered or government body or others etc.? After deciding it we have to design the procedure such as planning for the whole programme, budget allocation as expenses-Food and Accommodation, field rent, Prize etc. and Income/Revenues- such as the Sponsors, Ticket, Donation, grants Local Cable etc. Draw a Cash flow chart in different month/week. Then decide the site of event, the market, and Perfect site of Parking, transportation, event, seating arrangement and other facilities. Marketing of the sponsors can be done through banner, hand-bill, festoon, bill boards, special seats, local cable, distributing cap, t-shirt etc. After confirming all the said factors then finding the sponsor with a sponsorship proposal with its different level such as Title sponsors, Associate sponsors, Assistant sponsors, Presenting Sponsors (Logo, Mascot, Name), partner and other level. With different types of advertisement in the play arena the sponsors may attracted. The sponsors may get mileage through festoon, bill boards, special seats etc. All the different kinds of stakeholder should get some facilities like pricing of tickets, special seats, tiffin packet, cap, T-shirts, souvenir etc.

Dealing with the participants is very important in case of any Physical Education and Sports programme. They should get proper weight age in respect to their accommodation, refreshment, prize, travelling allowances etc. Prior dealing with the participants and the sponsors they must be confirmed with some definite agreement. Media mileage through Print media such as Newspaper and Electronic media such as local cable, regional channels etc. should get due weight age. Sponsorship can be made through Money, Kinds or other facilities. After fulfilling the contract, proper advertising and promotion can be done through Print media and Tele media. In all the process of staffing, event day management, post event party, post event reports, selling next year event etc. should be taken in to consideration.

Attract the sponsors is nothing but an art with some innovative ideas. It is simply a continuous process. 1st year it may be the target to get 10% only of the full income. 2nd, 3rdand next year it gradually be increased. Always try to involve the local

89

Page 90: Abstract Final[1] Final

market such as in the rural area the fertilizer company, agriculture seed company, tractor company, the cell phone company who tries to expand their market and want to accept sports as their main marketing tool. It is a never ending process and willingness is the key factor.

CONCLUSIONS:

From the said discussions it may be concluded that,

1. the sponsoring procedure has already taken a clear shape and the sports market is bathing with it.

2. Physical education, a part and parcel of the total education has immense potentiality to organize different types of sport competition in different intensity.

3. Play day, exhibition, demonstration, bharatiyam etc. has also such potentiality.

4. Considering that latent potentiality the field of Physical Education can employ the scope of sponsorship which in turn can be able to develop the profession of Physical Education.

5. Education, teaching and research are three fulcrum of Physical Education should have to accept these opportunity to swim in the streamline flow of Education and Sports business.
