Christ Academy functions under the able guidance of CMI (Carmelites of
Mary Immaculate) fathers, who have, from time immemorial,
contributed to the cause of social upliftment through their service in the
fields of education and healthcare. They are credited with the founding of
reputed establishments like Christ University, Amala Institute of Medical
Sciences, Rajagiri Hospital and Amala Hospital in Kerala, in addition to
engaging in various other humanitarian activities.
Christ Academy Institute for Advanced Studies (CAIAS) is dedicated to
Jesus Christ, the Supreme Guru, a guiding light that enlightens every
individual who is a part of our academic community. Our source of
inspiration is the founder of CMI, St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara, a great
educationist who brought about revolutionary changes in the society
through his decisive mission and farsighted vision. CAIAS strives to

Christ Academy Institute for Advanced Studies is a temple of learning that provides quality education accessible to
all. At CAIAS, we aim to create individuals with well-developed and holistic personalities who will excel in
academics as well as extracurricular activities, thereby evolving into competent professionals and responsible

The commencement of every academic year ushers in a nascent beginning for CAIAS as we are continuously

Libraries have quite a lot to do with the input, creation and retention of ideologies of a knowledge seeker.
The College Library aims to make the necessary information accessible to each of beneficiaries at the right
time. Its objective is to improve student success rates by maintaining a balanced collection of books,
journals, periodicals, dailies and other information sources. A good number of reference books and journals
of national and international publications are made available to the learners enrolled in different
programmes. The library functions in co-ordination with the specialized libraries in the university and is
well maintained by qualified and experienced librarians.
Library Timings: Monday to Friday - 7.00 a.m to 6.00 p.m, Saturday - 7:00 a.m to 1.00 p.m
CAIAS houses state of the art laboratories for Physics, Chemistry,
Psychology and Computer Science as per the prescribed syllabus
of Bangalore University. Experiments are conducted under the
guidance of subject experts through a meticulously planned
series of classes to fulfil the purpose of imparting practical
knowledge. The laboratory equipment conforms to the specified
industry calibration and safety standards. The institution has an
80 mbps bandwidth leased line to provide seamless internet
facility to all students. The campus is WiFi
enabled and internet is available in all
systems.

CAIAS aided grants are:
1. CAIAS Merit Grant (CAIAS
MG) - This scholarship recognizes
meritorious students, wherein the top
three performers of each course are
awarded a 30%-50% waiver of their
tuition fee.
2. CAIAS Provisional Grant (CAIAS
PG) - This scholarship caters to the
economically backward students, who
are provided a waiver of 40% of their
tuition fee. Do refer to the website for
further details on the scholarships.
The Placement and Career Guidance Unit primarily assists
students in their career planning and takes the initiative to
explore new career avenues for graduates and post graduates
through visits to new companies. Career counseling programs are
undertaken periodically by the placement coordinator to guide
students. Interactive sessions by eminent persons in their
respective fields are conducted regularly.
The objective of the Placement Office is to facilitate the
professional development of the students by training them
towards employability skills such as resume building, group
discussion and personal interview skills. These in turn will help
the students to move into a desired occupation and/or apply in
prestigious postgraduate and professional schools.

A capacious and fully equipped auditorium
with a seating capacity of 1400 is being set up and
is expected to be fully functional by the end of this
academic semester. The college has a sufficient
number of seminar halls that are spacious, well
ventilated and well furnished. The halls are
provided with facilities such as LCD projectors
with AV equipment, WiFi, screens and white-
boards for engaging the audience. The staff and
students are encouraged to use this facility to its
maximum capacity for our in-house academic,
literary and cultural programmes. They also
double up as film theatres where intra-college
film festivals are held.

The college cafeteria is invariably the pulse of the campus. It is a
popular hub that not only caters to students' meals and
refreshments, but also creates student bonhomie and
camaraderie. The cafeteria serves a wide range of quick bites,

as well as the faculty. The cafeteria is very spacious with
comfortable seating arrangements and can accommodate a
large number of students and faculty. Care has been taken to

We at CAIAS acknowledge this and
emphasise upon the efficacy of sports and its
benefits. Sports and games are required for
maintaining physical and mental fitness and
can turn out to be a level playing ground for
students from all walks of life. To inculcate this
value and keep our students active and fit, we
inspire them to take up sports to help them deal
with the challenges that are a part of it, thus
subliminally extrapolating the same spirit to
life also. We believe that being good sportsmen
and team players will help the students in
developing a wholesome personality.
CAIAS boasts of housing a myriad of sporting
arenas that include four basketball courts,
three 5A site turf football courts, two
volleyball/throw ball courts, two bowling
pitches and a tennis court. Furthermore, we
also encourage the students to use our well-
equipped gymnasium and indoor sporting
areas including but not limited to badminton,
table tennis, chess and carrom.
There is a fully functional branch of South Indian Bank in
the college premises. It offers all types of banking services
to the staff and students and is functional during bank
working days. Student fees and other payments are
remi�ed through this on-the-campus bank branch. On
enrolment, every student can open an account with the
bank and make full use of the banking services including
internet banking and ATM facilities.

HostelWe a r e k e e n o n c r e a t i n g a we l c o m i n g
environment in our hostel to give the students a
feeling of a home away from home. CAIAS houses
separate accommodation facilities for male and
female students within the campus. We offer twin
sharing (for males) and triple sharing (for females)
spacious rooms with the intention of providing the
students with the comfort of one another's
company. It also gives them the opportunity to
make friends and get acquainted with campus life.

Security: Safety and security of our students is of
the utmost importance. Hostels are equipped with
CCTVs at strategic places and security personnel
are stationed at the hostel 24/7. Access to the hostel
is via the use of a biometric system only.

ACCA is a professional course offered by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, an
independent accounting body based in the UK. An ACCA qualification holder will be popularly called a
Chartered Certified Accountant, a title that is recognised in more than 180 countries.
Chartered Accountancy (CA) is one of the most respectable and challenging professional courses in our
country. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India conducts a CA course that provides efficient and

Candidates who have completed a two-year Pre University course (XI and XII) from Karnataka state board or its equivalent from other states/boards, with a score of 40% or equivalent CGPA in the core subjects (of the UG course they are applying to) are eligible for admission.

This three-year Honours degree is a dual specialisation programme designed as per the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) prescribed by the UGC. This two-year postgraduate programme is affiliated to Bangalore University and is approved by the AICTE, New Delhi. The course offers the students a combination of theoretical and practical knowledge, in addition to life skills. It is mandatory for the students to undergo training that enables their transition from campus life to corporate life. This training is supplemented with internships and projects based on the collaborations between the academia and the industry, with an aim to further equip the students to work in diverse fields as managers or entrepreneurs.
Eligibility: Candidates who have obtained a Bachelor's degree (10+2+3 years) from a recognized University in any discipline or its equivalent, and have secured not less than 50% of marks in aggregate are eligible for admission to this programme.
