ABOUT THE WORLD TOURISM STUDENTS LEAGUE

The high need for specialized human capital to meet the requirements of national tourism agencies and private companies is one of the main challenges that tourism destinations and international companies are facing nowadays.

This explains the relevant role currently taken by these companies and national tourism agencies to incorporate into their management the design of tourism education policies and strategies that contribute to expanding the specialized workforce, improving the quality of tourism service provision and their services, also generating greater knowledge and information for decision-making.

In short, promote competitiveness and sustainability throughout the production chain at the national, regional and local levels. The relationship between Governments, the Industry and the Education Institutions is therefore key to obtain these synergies empowering the best talent.

The UNWTO World Tourism Students League, run within the UNWTO Academy, seeks to create an innovative environment to empower and motivate travel & tourism students to get involved within the industry and participate in this World Tourism Students League getting real-time experience from the sector by creating and presenting innovative solutions for the challenges that the sector is facing.
