Chanchalben Mafatlal Patel College of Physiotherapy has been

established by Sarva Vidyalaya Kelvani Mandal for catering to

the ever increasing need of quality Physiotherapist. The

college has been established in the year 2015 on a 16000

Sq.mts of Land situated in Civil Hospital Premises of

Gandhinagar. The college has been approved by Government

of Gujarat and offers 4 ½ year Bachelor in Physiotherapy

Programme leading to BPT degree. The college is a

About the College

The college is situated in picturesque locales of

Gandhinagar, the Capital City of Gujarat. The Physiotherapy

College provides the best possible infrastructural facilities

for the conduct of BPT programme.

Building:

The Building of the institute comprises teaching block,

hostel block, cemented road, Water Facility, staff quarters.

The building has been designed in such a way that it gives

an aesthetic look with lush green lawns spread across the

campus.

Class Rooms:

The College has fully equipped Air Conditioned Class rooms

as required. The class rooms are well ventilated and has all

the modern teaching equipments like LCD Projector etc., for

a better integrated learning by the students.

Laboratories:

The College provides laboratories like Anatomy Lab,

Physiology Lab, Electrotherapy Lab, Exercise Therapy Lab

with equipments like

The college has a well developed library with all the required

books and journals for the enhanced learning of the

students.

Hostels:

The institute also has a well maintained hostel facility. It has

well ventilated rooms with attached toilets. The students are

provided with hygienic food cooked in the most hygienic

way.

The hostel also provides with 24 hours of running water

facility and provides with hot water facility to the students.

The college also has a multipurpose hall with a capacity of

300 students for conducting various activities in the college.

The college has entered into MOU’s with GCS Medical

College and Hospital, Sheth N N Sarvajanik Hospital and S G

Maternity Home, Randheja, Mansi Hospital, Vadaj,

Ahmedabad, Sheth Shri Pukhraj Raichand General Hospital,

Sabarmati, Ahmedabad, HITECH Multi Speciality Hospital,

Gandhinagar and Revabai General Hospital, Sardhav.

Infrastructural Facilities

The Admission to Bachelor in Physiotherapy(BPT) is conducted through Centralised Admission Process by Government of Gujarat. or

the purpose of admission, a candidate shall have-

A) Passed the qualifying examination with “B-group” or “AB-group” from-

i) The Gujarat Board; or

ii) The Central Board of Secondary Education provided that the school in which the candidate has studied, should have been

located in the State of Gujarat; or

iii) The Council of Indian School Certificate Examinations Board, New Delhi provided that the school in which the candidate has

studied should have been located in the State of Gujarat:

B) Appeared in the Gujarat Common Entrance Test conducted in the current academic year.

Faculty:

The institute has well qualified faculty in Physiotherapy for training of the students. The faculty have been recruited looking into the

diverse areas of the Physiotherapy.

Future Plans:

The future plans of the college are:

1) Commence Master in Physiotherapy Programme

2) Tie up with Foreign Universities for the better career prospects of the students.

In addition to the above, The University also has

commenced Ph. D programmes in Management,

Pharmaceutical Sciences, Education, Bio Technology,

Humanities and Social Sciences, Computers etc., from the

Academic Year 2008-09.

The trust has always been in the forefront for provision of

value based education to all the students irrespective of

Caste, Creed, Religion etc. Keeping in with the main motto

“KarBhalaHogaBhala” the trust has surrendered all its

management quota seats in all the courses being run by it

and the admissions to the various courses are strictly

conducted on the basis of merit through centralized

admission process. At present the trust runs various schools

from Pre Primary to Higher Secondary level both at Kadi and

Gandhinagar as well as College both technical and non-

technical both at Kadi and Gandhinagar.

Glance

1) Having started in the year 1919, the trust slowly and

steadily made its presence felt in the society and the efforts

of “Chhaganbha” have not gone waste with the

development of schools at Kadi. The campus grew from 9

acres in 1923 to 137 acres by 1934 with the acquisition of

further land for the purposes of establishing Schools,

Hostels as well as a Gaushala. In the year 1960

SarvaVidyalayaKelvani Mandal set its foot into providing

technical education with the establishment of an Industrial

Training Institute at Kadi. The trust went on to establish

Science College viz., Pramukh Swami Science College in the

year 1965 which later was upgraded into Science and Arts

college viz., Pramukh Swami Science and H D Patel Arts

College. This has led to the growth of education activities in

and around Kadi and the trust has also started various other

colleges leading to degree and post graduate degrees like

BBA, BCA, MBA, MCA, PGDCA, B. Ed, PTC etc.

Campus at a Glance

The trust has been striving hard for the development of

education and education related activities since 1919 and

looking into this the Government of Gujarat has invited

SarvaVidyalayaKelvani Mandal to set up education facilities

at Gandhinagar in 1976. At that time the trust has been

allotted a land of 13 Acres for establishing schools for the

benefit of the population staying in and around

Gandhinagar. Since then the trust has set up many

educational institutions and hostels which have proved to be

the backbone of the development of education in the state

of Gujarat and currently more than 25000 students are being

educated at Gandhinagar of which around 3500 students

both boys and girls are staying in the hostels.

Sarva Vidyalaya Kelvani Mandal has been established in the

year 1919, by a Philanthropist “PujyaChhaganbha”. The

basic principle preached by him “KarBhalaHogaBhala” has

been the driving force for the growth of the education

activities managed by the trust. Having started with just 6

students then, today the trust manages and runs various

schools and colleges both at Kadi and Gandhinagar with

more than 36000 students being educated. Of these 36000

students, around 5800 students both boys and girls stay in

the hostels being managed by the trust.

The trust is being nourished and managed by its alumni who

occupy respectable positions in the society. Many of its

alumni have settled abroad and they shower in donations to

benefit the existing as well as prospective students for

providing them with better facilities for study as well as stay.

Initially started in the year 1919, the trust currently has Land

of around 165 acres together at Kadi and Gandhinagar. At

Kadi the trust has a land of 137 acres where in various

schools, colleges are being run and a Gaushala which helps

in nourishing Children with milk with around 125 cows. At

Gandhinagar the trust has a total of 28 acres of land where

in various schools, colleges including both technical as well

as non-technical and hostels and staff quarters are existing.

Dear Students,

It is my privilege and honour to introduce the

KadiSarvaVishwavidyalaya, Gandhinagar to the students and

their parents. I firmly believe that apart from giving

empowerment in terms of knowledge and skills, education

gives us much more. We believe that becoming bookworms

is not education, it is more important to put into practice

atleast a fraction of what you have learnt. While fulfilling the

objectives of inculcation of values and intellectual

excellence, a wide range of professional programs towards

the development of youth in health education are offered by

KadiSarvaVishwavidyalaya, Gandhinagar.

Physiotherapy or Physical Therapy, one of the fastest-

growing allied areas of medicine, is the system of treatment

of disease and disability using physical community and a

vital therapeutic supplement of the medical profession,

integral to the treatment of most patients. Physiotherapy

involves interaction between the physiotherapists, patients

other health professionals, families, care giver, and

communities in a process where movement potential is

assessed and goals are agreed upon, using knowledge and

skills unique to Physiotherapist.

With a need to spread education further and develop a kind

of professionalism in the young generation of Gujarat, the

trust has started the first self financed college viz., K B

Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research offering

B. Pharm programme with the approval of AICTE in the year

1995 for which Government of Gujarat has allotted land

admeasuring 20,000 sq.mts i.e., 5 acres. The journey of

SarvaVidyalaya continued further with the establishment of

S K Patel Institute of Management and Computer Studies

offering MBA and MCA programmes in the year 1998. The

trust went on to establish other institutions offering BBA,

BCA, B. Com (English Medium), B. Ed, PTC and other

vocational courses.

In the year 2005, the trust has established an Engineering

college for which Government of Gujarat has allotted a land

of admeasuring 40000 Sq.mts. in Sector 15 of Gandhinagar.

In addition to this in the year 2006, the trust has also

established a Polytechnic College viz., VPMP Polytechnic,

Nursing College in 2008 and so on.

To achieve the above objective the trust has set up a

University under the name and style “Kadi Sarva

Vishwavidyalaya”
