– Ofnasmiðjan was founded in 1936 and celebrates 75 years in 2011

– The name was changed to RÝMI in the year 2000

– Family run company with same owners from 1936 until 2008

– Bought in 2009 by current owners. New name is Rými Ofnasmidjan.

– About 27% growth in sales in 2010

– New 1000m2 showroom and distribution center in Brautarholt 26 - Reykjavik

– New 150m2 showroom in Akureyri – north Iceland

Iceland is recovering fast from the bank crisis in 2008. 500 thousand tourists expected in 2011. Thanks to the Eyjafjallajökull eruption in 2010? Export surplus is constant. - Confidence in Iceland´s financial situation is growing. The ISK is stable and no restrictions on imports Three aluminum plants produce about 5% of the world production of aluminum.
