Aberdeen Ice Hockey Club was established in 1992 with the opening of the ice arena which is run by Sport Aberdeen, supporting ice sports for Aberdeen City and Shire. The facility has a footfall of circa 2,000 people per week and has a seating capacity of just over 1,100 – a capacity which the Lynx are regularly reaching.

The club has always been focused on junior development and has teams representing the city at all ages including; Scottish National League (SNL), Under 20s, Under 16s, Under 14s and Under 12s, as well as our Learn to Play development programme. The club’s teams have played across the country and beyond, and can boast players that have gone on to play both professionally and for their country.

The main benefits of sponsoring a player is that it alleviates the running costs of the senior team. The less the club have to subsidise the senior team the more the club can invest in junior development, from supplying equipment to reducing the cost of transport to games that are played all over the country.
