Your computer has two different drives; the internal hard disk drive and the CD orDVD-ROM drive. The CD or DVD-ROM drive module is installed on the right

    side of the LCD PC.

Your system is installed with either a CD or DVD-ROM drive, depending

    on the system configuration.

The hard disk drive is installed in a special compartment on the rear side of the

    computer.

Drive PropertiesYou can learn about the properties of the drives by double-clicking the My Com-

putericon on the Windows desktop. In the My Computerwindow, right click on

any of the drives and selectProperties from the drop down menu to display the

capacity of the drive and other information.

    Hard disk drive

Your computer has a internally installed high-capacity hard disk drive. Your com-

puter identifies the hard disk drive as drive C:. The hard disk drive is pre-installed

with Windows XP, drivers and software required to run all the components of yourcomputer.

When you install software applications and use them to create files and documents,

you store them in folders on the hard disk drive. You can use WindowsExplorerto

create new folders, sub-folders, navigate and maintain the folders and files that are

stored on the hard disk drive.

If your hard disk drive gets corrupted, you can use the recovery CD-ROM to return

the hard disk drive to the original set-up when it was first shipped. However, you

will lose any files that you have subsequently created unless you have backed themup to another storage device.
