    Term 3 Week 5 20 August 2010Kia Ora Tatou

Well, we have had a very eventful two weeks at Salford; the school ski trip went stunninglywell, sunshine, snow. And a broken Tibia and Fibula for me!

Jo Turner sustained a badly broken wrist on black ice in our car park, and we also had astudent ambulanced to Southland Hospital with a fractured humorous.

So we are keeping the hospital busy! We are hoping now that we have had three accidentswe are on the other side of these horrid happenings!

We welcome to the Salford team Mr Patrick Daintith, who has rescued Room 3 students in Josabsence.

Seussical is coming along, due to unforeseen circumstances we have a new Choreographer LouHoro. Lou will be designing and teaching the whole class dances. We are very fortunate tosecure her services and look forward to working with her. The main cast are working hard soroll on show time! It is going to be great!

Students are really engaged with their Science inquiry, the experiments and discoveries andwonderings have been very exciting. We look forward to sharing this work with you at theScience evening.

Congratulations to all of the teams that competed in the Aerobics competition, they werenot placed in the finals however they looked sensational, they loved it, and they have practisedso hard! Well done girls!

The first block of toilets have been refurbished and the results are simplystunning, many thanks to Gillian Graham for selecting our colour scheme. We are awaiting some minor paperwork issues and compliance matters beforethe next block proceeds.

The students are loving the new look and it is a significant improvement tothe cloak bays.

Good luck to the Stags and the All Blacks this weekend.Marlene
