A Time Most Vulnerable - Poetry 1 In the darkened room I wait In a flame of candlelight. These words on virgin paper pure Never dare alight. They are all I have to hold My lone position right. My lover draws me on and near To all that I am tonight. I ought to feel the blade of fear Held to heart so tight I try to know this lover's touch That kills so sweetly thus And call the world to see me now Reduced to lover's dust.

A Time Most Vulnerable - Poetry 1

In the darkened room I wait In a flame of candlelight.
