AFS is originally a Dutch family business and is internationally well-known in the field of innovative American food product. De Bioderij ‘’Produces the most delicious ready-to-eat pancakes’’

GENERAL INFORMATION De Bioderij was established about 20 years ago, since then steadily expanding the business of baking delicious ready-made pancakes in any possible shape or form. Our products are known for their outstanding quality and now enjoyed in almost 40 countries by numerous people every day. Our company is therefore widely recognised as a market and thought leading partner in the international market of pancakes and alike products. We produce our extensive pancake range in two state of the art factories in the Netherlands and Belgium, serving our customers in fresh (chilled), frozen or ambient formats. We market branded products and private labels, with the aim of growing the product category for our retail and foodservice partners. In the UK we launched the brand “Abra-ca-Debora”, with a range of chilled Dutch pancakes and mini pancakes, bringing the magic of pancakes to UK households and inspiring people to discover the versatility of pancakes. We develop our products under the successful JAN brand in the Netherlands (named after the founder of the company), Abra-ca-Debora for international markets and Creapan as a fancy retail label and foodservice propositions. We also develop own label products in close partnership with our customers. We comply with the highest standards in quality and food product safety. We have, of course, acquired all the important certificates necessary for our business, such as HACCP, BRC high level, IFS, Halal, and Organic (SKAL).

INTERNATIONAL MARKETS

Over 50% of our sales come from European countries outside the Netherlands. Besides this our business is rapidly growing in other continents as well like Asia and the US.

GENERAL INFORMATION Lutèce, part of the CNC group, is the largest producer of preserved mushrooms in the world. Founded in 1910, we already have more than 100 years of experience in processing high-quality mushrooms into a wide range of products. Based in the north of the province of Limburg, the centre of mushroom cultivation in the Netherlands, we yearly process more than 80 million kilos of mushrooms with great love and care at our two production sites in Horst and Velden. Our products are sold worldwide to retailers, the foodservice market and industrial buyers.

OBJECTIVES FOR TRADE MISSION TO THE UK Although Lutèce is world market leader, we are a small player on the UK market for retail and foodservice. That’s why we are interested to meet with retail, foodservices companies, as well as institutional players and investigate the opportunities for new partnerships.

Since 2012, Mola has been operating from a brand new production plant. DESCRIPTION OF PRODUCTS Mola produces unbaked frozen puff-pastry products. The premises, on the Sterckwijck industrial estate in Beugen, is designed and implemented to create pleasant working conditions for Mola’s staff. INTERNATIONAL MARKETS Mola works in close collaboration with sales partners. The partner for the Dutch market is Banketbakkerij Wouter de Graaf. For the German-speaking market, Mola has a partnership with Bakerman GmbH & Co. KG.

ACCREDITATIONS Mola is always trying to achieve the highest quality standards which is guaranteed by an integrated and audited quality system. The company has obtained several external quality accreditations being BRC version 6 and IFS Higher Level.
