HISTORY

Flaig + Hommel GmbH is an innovative company with a long-standing tradition in the cold forming sector. Our main focus is the fastening techno-logy. Our headquarters are in Aldingen, Germany, where we manufacture complex cold formed parts as well as nuts, screw plugs and machined parts. The patented FS All-Steel Lock-Nut has been developed with extreme applications re-garding temperature, vibration and environment in mind.

Subsidiaries in Poland and Russia, as well as a Joint Venture with a leading manufacturer of nuts in Taiwan, show the company’s international orientation. Customers come from the automo-tive sector and the rail industry, as well as the wind energy sector and traditional engineering.

THE ECONOMICAL ALTERNATIVE TO TURNED PARTS!Precision parts, particularly for high-tech sectors such as the au-tomotive industry, aerospace industry or engineering are suffering continuous pricing pressure. In order to save costs compared to the traditional turning method, Flaig + Hommel has perfected the cold forging process and thus opened up a whole new avenue for cost-conscious buyers.

Depending on batch size and component, significant savings can be achieved from as little as 100.000 parts. The process is suitable for a number of materials such as construction steel, heat-treated steel, case-hardened steel, special purpose steel, stainless steel and high-temperature steel as well as aluminium and copper.

STATE OF THEART MANUFACURING TECHNOLOGIES – TOP OF THE RANGE FASTENERS.

PRECISION WITH PERSONALITY!Turned and milled parts for small and medium size runs are a strategically important aspect of Flaig + Hommel. In our machining department we are equipped for working with all types of steel such as stainless steel and special purpose steel as well as non-fer-rous metals. The machine park is designed in a way that production tolerances of up to two hundredths of a millimetre can be consis-tently achieved. Automated feed systems allow for the economical machining of press blanks.

A capable team of machining specialists can offer you qualities usually only known from high-volume production support. Our machining portfolio is divided into the sections turned parts, milled parts and prototyping.

Multi-stage pressing makes the manufacture of complex precision parts up to 270mm in length and with a diameter of 90mm possible. Our in house tool shop develops and optimises the forming process down to the last detail of the separate stages. In our machining department we manufacture turned and milled parts for prototype construction as well as customer specific solutions.

WE FORGE IDEAS AND PRODUCE QUALITY.

NUTS

At Flaig + Hommel GmbH we manufactures cold-forged parts, all-steel lock-nuts, special nuts and fasteners at our own construction department. Besides our wide spectrum of weight-reduced screw-plugs and lock-nuts we offer a wide as-sortment of special, patented fasteners for light weight constructions. The sample and prototype production takes place with the help of our state of the art machinery in our machining department.

We manufacture nuts in the DIN dimensions M5 to M110. Also spe-cial nuts by design; all-steel lock-nuts; high temperature resistant lock-nuts; ultra-light lock-nuts; hot-dip galvanised all-steel lock-nuts; standard nuts.

Screw Plugs from aluminium or steel. The new aluminium ver-sion offers great potential to further reduce the unit weight and thus the CO2 emission reduction, which is particularly relevant for the automotive sector. And what’s best: Compared to the steel version, the weight reduced aluminium version comes at no extra cost!

We manufacture turned parts in diameters up to 90mm and up to 150 mm in length, in batch sizes from 500 to 50,000 pieces. We produce milled parts from 20,000 parts per year with up to 150 mm in edge length.

Flaig + Hommel continuously comes up with new and useful appli-cations for the fastening sector. Our focus is hereby on innovative threaded connections and lightweight applications.
