MEAP is a State Test, aligned to State Standards.

NWEA is National and is aligned to Common Core.

MEAP is in October, results in February. NWEA is 3X year, results in 24-48 hours.

MEAP same for all, NWEA different for all.

‘14-‘15 “New MEAP” will be a Smarter Balance to reflect new Common Core Standards (National Standards) this assessment will be similar in format to NWEA.

In this example, this student’s RIT score is 210, 11 below BPS avg. 3 below US avg.Looking at the Goals Performance, you can see the following are focus areas: 1. Operations & Algebraic Thinking, 2. Number & Operations in Base Ten,3. Measurement and Data. This student’s Goal for Spring is 223.
