  • I was doing 'Gemel ' s Messages' f r om Mental-E ttes. The sitters were askedto write a question and a name ( i ns t ead of t wo questions) on a large sheet ofaper , 5 X 8 . i n . , while I t urned my back. When finished they were told to fold

the sheet in half, and then in half again and once more in half . In the end theyheld a smal l wad of fold ed pa pe r . During the readi ng , this folded wad of pa-per is torn to bi t s by me and the pieces dropped into a tall-necked wine bottle .

Eventually the question and the name are r evea l ed . In their minds, thesitter uncons c i ous l y surmised tha t in order for anyone to read the question andname, the paper had to be unf olded as many times as i t was folded . They neversaw me unfold any thi ng ( ? ) and therein rested the mystery ! In their mindst hey concluded tha t I could not get t he writ t en informa t i on by reading it , there-for I ha d to get it by some othe r unknown means . Coul d it be Mindreading? !

The effec t on the lay mind is prof ound ! and their is no way in which thelay mind can remotely suspect that you can r ead the writting af ter tear i ng amulti-fo lded paper to bits!

'I&. 'lJet/'J.i.[ : Here is my favorite 'Reading' in detail fromstart to finish. Only one person i s a l l owed int o the

Inner Sanctum ( t he room or nook where the Reader sits) at one time. The sameroutine is fol lowed with each s itt er and , except for the di f f er ence in thehandwr i t i ng analysis , t he patter is the same .

REQUIERED~ Two pads of writing paper, whi t e and wi t hout lines, S by 8 inchessquare; s ome #2 l ead pencils; a tall-necked wi ne bottle for dropping in thetorn messages (optiona l , you can use a waste basket. ) ; knowledge of the ba s i crudiments of graphology ; a small magnifying glas s (optional ) ; plus the secretof Gemel 's Mess~ges (detailed later) . Double- sided scotch tape and a tablet ors l a t e may be used . 'THE READING: When the sitter enters the room he or she is received withgreat courtesy Bnd a b g smi l e . He is asked to be seated and t hen i s pliedheaVily with flat t er . To the ladies , you may say, "What a bea-u- ti-full dressyou have . It looks so well on you." or liMy ! , MY! , your hai r looks so beau- ti -f ul Ll " To the men i t is well to say, " You look so distinguised! "

    The si tter i s thanked fo r his or her interest and t hen i s told that heor she is a ver y specia l person. (Keep in mind that t he sit t er i s aninteresting per s on , progress ive and curious and dynamic . Otherwise they wouldnot be i n t er es t e d in your reading . The do-nothings, down-and-outers, dullards,and pessimistic boors wil l probabl y never si t with you . The s e couldn' t careles s f or your readi ngs. ) It is well to tell t he s i tter , liThe very fac ttha t you a r e i n t er e s t e d in a reading, shows that you a r e a dynamic individual . lI

"l cons i der you a very special person so I propose a ver y special test .'Please thi nk of a ques t i on concern i ng your life. Do not tel l me the questionor anyone else . Pleas e write it down secr e t l y on this pad as I turn my back. II('lou hand the person t he paper pad that is prepared for doing Gemel ' s Messa-ges . ) "And also think of the name of some person tha t is inportant to youand' write it on the lower Lfnes ; "

IfHave you f i ni shed? Fine ! Then tear the sheet away from the pad and foldit exactly in half. Pleas e fold i t once more in ha lf . And again i n half. 1f

You have turned to face t he sitter as the last t wo folds of the paper aremade. Instruct t he sit t e r to hold the folded wad of paper between his two ha ndsas you put yOUl: two hands a r ound his. "I am going to endeaver to answer thequestion and I am going to ass ume it is an honest question as I am sure i t is."

9't£/J!tf)(t'}?fI : Why graphology? Grapho l ogy is the best method the r IFis for {earning hard fac t s about a total stranger ins tant ly . simply by studyinghi s handwri ting . His or her handwriting wi l l revea l to you the way the sitte~thinks . therefor the way he lives and ac t s . The sitter wil l be amazed atwhat you t el l him from his handwr iting.

If you already have a college degree in gra phology, fi ne and we l l , BUTal l you rea lly need to give the sitter an i mpr essi ve reading is to lea r n ther udi men t s of the ar t. And this you can ge t from an inexpensive pul p maga z i neon the subjec t which you can pick up a t t he ne ws t and or a s econd hand bookstore.

By the rudi ment s I mean that all you do is notice whether t he write rwri t es hi s le t t er s l eaning to the right or to the lef t. TO THE RI GHT: meansthat the writer leads with hi s hear t . He i s affec tionate, sentimental . friendlyl

TO THE LEFT: means t ha t he or she leads wi t h the mind. The person is agood l eade r and businessman. Eve r yt hi ng he does must be approved by the mi nd .

IF SITTER WRITES HI S SENTENCES GOING UPHILL: He is an optimi s t !IF DOWNHILL: He is a pes s i mi s t . IN A STRAIGHT LI NE: denot es a phlegmatic indi -vidual.

IF WRI TING I S CRAMPED COVERING MOST OF THE PAPER WITHOUT WASTE: Thewr i t er is thrifty . IF TOO MUCH SPACE AND PAPER IS WASTED; The writer is extra~vagant!

The si t t er is given a pencil and the s econd pad and also instructed toturn the firs t pad face down . "I have been accused of readi ng the i mpression ofthe ques t i on f r om the second shee t . So Please put it away so that I can no t seeit."

As t he si tter r eaches for t he penc i l you t ake back the fo l ded wad of papersaying . "We do not need t his anymore . " And t ea r it up ( r e t a i ni ng t he vitalcen t e r fold ) and throw the pieces away making s ure tha t the si tter sees the ac-tion .

Whil e t he si tter wri t es , you have ample t i me to pick up t he large table tor slate and attach the sto l en pieces to the piece of double scotch tape on t hetab l e t or s la t e . Read the ques t i on and name and secre t l y discard the pieces ofpaper. The si tter can be i ns t r ucted to repea t the same sentence again a secondand ev en a t hird time so tha t it covers half of the paper. Then tel l t he si t t e rwhen f i ni s hed. to dr aw a t r ee,. "Pleas e dr aw a tree. Any kind of tree . "

Ever ything is set for the f i na l coup! Give the sitt er as good a readingas possib le by using the s i gns f r om hi s handwriting ana l ys is. and then say. "Forsome r ea son I ge t the impression tha t you a r e doub t f ul about __It and answer thesi t ter ' s ques t i on and tel l him the name of the person i n t he i r mi nds.

The s i t t er is given a paper pad and pencil to writehis que t ion. The pad measures 5 by 8 in. As in Fi g. 1 ,the pad has on i t s ome penc i l lines . When finished he is to ld to tea r off the sheetfrom the pad and to turn the pad f ace down. He is then t ol d to fold thesheet exactly in half, and then in half again and again in half .
