You are going to write a letter to your future self. This could be you in a year’s time or you in a few years’ time, at the end of secondary school.

Imagine what you would

like to become. How would

you like to be portrayed?

What do you want people

to think and say about you?

This letter will be private and

should be a chance to open

up about your thoughts,

feelings and goals.

Think about what is important to you, how you want to feel about yourself and how you want others to feel about you. What will you be proud of?

When you have completed your letter, take some time to read

it over and think through the advice you have given.

When you have done this, you may put it inside the envelope your teacher has given you. You should receive this letter back at the end of the year.

My Worries List

Please write in the below boxes what worries you have.

Think about these worries in three groups. An example has been given to get you started.

I am too worried to stay at my friend’s

house on my own.

These worries make it hard for me to do

something but it’s not impossible.

I am really worried about sitting my

spelling test.

Secondary School Treasure Hunt CluesA set of cards to help create a treasure hunt for secondary induction or taster days. This will help new

children find their way around the school site. The pupils work individually or in teams to find the places

described by the clues and collect the letters to make up the word ‘transition’.

Use these clues to create a treasure hunt to help Year 7 or new pupils navigate their way around the

school site.

Pupils collect a letter at each point and then have to work out what the anagram spells - TRANSITION
