What can I expect during a live lesson?

• A teacher will be conducting a live lesson and students

can join it from anywhere via devices with internet,

including mobiles and computers.

• Students will be able to actively participate in the lesson

by asking questions in chat.

What do I need to prepare before live lesson?

• A Headphone or Earpiece to hear better as

well as not disturb others around you.

• Microphone or Webcam (Optional)

• Prepare the materials that you might need.

• Know the steps to join live lesson.

1. Join meeting 5 minutes before the designated time.

2. Participate in live lesson from their living room and not the bedroom.

3. Be dressed appropriately, Yu Neng PE attire.

4. Clear background of any distracting objects (e.g posters, photos, etc.)

5. Key in your name in a standised format for easy identification during live lesson, Class_Index Number_Name(Example : 6Gr_18_Harry Potter)

What do I need to do during live lesson?

6. Leave the Microphone and Video off unless given instructions by teacher to enable it.

7. File and Screen sharing is not allowed by students.

8. Respond to Teacher’s instruction.

9. Observe Cyber Wellness

10. Follow established guidelines on classroom behaviour.

How Do Get/Download Zoom APP On Device

Ps You will only need to download the ZOOM application/extension the first time you attend such lessons.

For Apple & Android devices, scan the QR code to download the application.

1. Click on the link given by your teacher.

2. Check that ‘Don’t connect to audio’ is switched on, ‘Turn off my video’ is turned off

3. Key in your name (Class_Index Number_Name) , the live lesson code (meeting ID) and click ‘Join’ .

4. Your teacher may set a password for live lesson, if so you may need to key in the password, the click ‘join’ to join the lesson.

5. You can find the Meeting ID & Passwordin the invitation.

6. Click ‘Allow’ to allow ZOOM to send you notifications.

7. Remember to leave the Microphone and Camera offunless given special instructions by teacher.

How do I actively participate in a live lesson ?

Just like a lesson conducted in the classroom, your active

participation is important for you to learn effectively. There

are several functions that you can ask questions,

communicate with your teachers and peers, and seek

feedback from your teacher.

a) Video/Audio – These functions can be found at the bottom left-hand corner of the window.

• If you wish to mute/unmute your audio, click the microphone icon. (Mute your microphone unless instructed by your teacher to do so)

• If you wish to start/stop video, click the video camera icon. (Turn off your camera/video unless instructed by your teacher to do so)

b) Raise Hand/Lower Hand- Use this function to get your teacher’s attention if you have any questions during

the lesson.
