    Allama Iqbal Open University

    The AIOU was established in 1974 under the name of

    Peoples Open University using the Open Distance Learning

    Model. It was later renamed as Allama Iqbal Open

    University in 1977 on the eve of first centenary of theNational Poet and Philosopher,

    Allama Muhammad Iqbal.
