LM565/LM565C Phase
Locked Loop
GeneralDescription
The LM565 and LM565C are
general purpose phase lockedloops containing a stable, highly
linear voltage controlled os- cillatorfor lo distortion !M de"odulation,
and a double bal- anced phasedetector ith good carrier
suppression# The $C% fre&uencyis set ith an e'ternal resistor and
capacitor, and a tuning range of1()1 can be obtained ith the
sa"e capacitor# Thecharacteristics of the closed
loop syste" * bandidth,
response speed,
capture and pull in range * "aybe ad+usted over a ide range ith
an e'ternal resistor and capacitor#
The loop "ay be broken beteenthe $C% and the phase detector
for insertion of a digital fre- &uency
divider to obtain fre&uency"ultiplication#
The LM565 is specified foroperation over the 55.C to/105.C "ilitary te"perature range#The LM565C is speci- fied for
operation over the (.C to /2(.Cte"perature range#
