8 th Grade American Regalbuto 8 th Grade Research Project 2017 Task : Find information on one aspect of Benjamin Franklin’s life. You may use online sources only if they have .edu, .org or .gov endings. However, you must use one primary source written by Franklin himself, preferably in book form. Assessment : You will present your findings on a designated day in class and provide an annotated bibliography of your sources. A) Presentation: a 2-3 minute presentation adhering to all the requirements established in the class communication rubric (50 points). B) An annotated bibliography of your sources in MLA format. There is a minimum requirement of two paragraphs per source, which, of course, you are required to read. Topics : You will conduct your research in order to explore the many avenues of Franklin’s enigmatic and extensive personality. 1). Franklin the scientist and inventor: You will research Franklin’s life as a man of science and a creative inventor. 2). Franklin the philosopher and scholar : You will examine and describe Franklin’s philosophy on many topics—particularly on life and living. 3). Franklin the man: Your research in this area will focus on Franklin the man—his personal life. 4). Franklin as a revolutionary: You will explore Franklin’s role in the founding of our nation and in The Revolutionary War.

Task: Find information on one aspect of Benjamin Franklin’s life. You may use online sources only if they have .edu, .org or .gov endings. However, you must use one primary source written by Franklin himself, preferably in book form.

Assessment: You will present your findings on a designated day in class and provide an annotated bibliography of your sources.
