A Theoretical study has been conducted on the influence of Semi-tube
orientation on combined free and forced laminar convection heat transfer
where the Semi-tube heated with constant surface temperature. The
theoretical study was done in the thermal entrance region and
hydraulically fully developed region.
Theoretically the governing equations for a flow through an inclined
Semi-tube were reduced to four, which are continuity equation, radial and
tangential momentum equations, axial momentum equation and vorticity
equation in which the variables where the temperature, vorticity, stream
function and axial velocity. These equations were reduced to
dimensionless equations in which Grashof, Prandtl, Reynolds and
Rayleigh numbers were presented.

ABSTRACT :
The Iraqi provinces, particularly, the city of Anbar as a large state with
wide areas for deserts and inhabited by several thousand people, suffer
one of the most important impacts which is the deterioration air quality
due to air pollution caused by dust storms. The stop of the working of
afforestation and the establishment of green belts and enlargement of
the residence apartments led to increase the effect of the dust on the
environment. The storms which happen several times annually cause
damages on different fields; economic, medical, environment and even
the view of the city. To overcome this dilemma, too much costs are
required to be spent for cleaning the city, streets, and buildings. This
dilemma motivated us to do this project in order to find effective and
economic solution to reduce the dangerous might threaten the life of a
huge number of patients. A new and inexpensive design has been
developed and fabricated in this project to absorb the dust from a room
to protect the life of the patients avoiding devolve them to the
emergency room at the hospitals. The operation of air cleaning from the
dust particles was carried out by using very fine air filter fixed in an air
washer device but without using water. More details are explained
thoroughly in its place in this project. During the first semester, only the
device design and fabrication were performed. In addition, the test room
(lab) was prepared to be govern and not leakage might take place to
ensure the precise estimations

Abstract
The beam is subjected to forced vibrations that can be defined as
displacement of beams from equilibrium position and left free, it will vibrate
at a frequency based on the constants of inertia and inertia. What helps to
sustain the vibration is the energy stored in the vibrator at the beginning of
the vibratory movement but because of the friction resistance that exists no
matter how small the amplitude of the vibration will gradually diminish with
Time until the vibrator stops vibrating. In order to maintain continuous
vibrations, the vibrator must continuously be supplied with energy to
overcome the impact of friction. If the method is to provide the vibrator with
energy in the form of a periodic external force, then the vibrator is said to be
in a "forced vibration" or forced state.
The aim of the project was to conduct practical experiments on forced
vibration in the beams previous research found that the vibration of the
beams increases as the frequency of the external forces approaches the
normal frequency (resonance) and the vibration increases frequency away
from normal frequency.

ABSTRACT
This study suggests an experimental performance study of a manufactured solar
Parabolic Trough Collector (PTC). A study of the trough thermal analysis is
necessary to evaluate the performance of a PTC. The study will take into
account different parameters : ( mass flowrate of working fluid , different solar
radiation ) The results of the research studied in literature showed that the
efficiency of PTC decreases for various mass flow rates and HTF, as the inlet
fluid temperature increases. This is because the radiation losses increased as the
collector temperature increases.

Abstract
This thesis presents the design of Mini CNC Machine. This machine has 2axes, namely the
Xand Y axis. Mini CNC machine is a small CNC machine that can operate like a normal
CNC machine with a limited area of the machining. The objectives of this project are to
develop the mini CNC Machine and to develop the software to control the machine. This
thesis describes the development of the machine and the criteria needed to build the machine.
The Mini CNC Machine is initially sketched by referring to the criteria that was decided. The
criteria are the travel path length, type of linear motion, type of linear drive, motor and
controller, and type of material that used. This machine’s travel on the X axis is 15cm and Y
axis is 15cm. The linear motion was used is a round linear rail and the linear drive used was
a sliding element, lead nuts and lead screws. The motor used is a stepper motor with
specification 2.1V and 3.0A. The frame material used is aluminium. This material is used
because it is light in weight, easy to handle and machine and it is rust proof. The design was
sketched using SolidWork software. For the next step is developing the wiring for motor and
develop the program to control the stepper motor. The ULN 2803 is used to convert the
signal from parallel part to specific winding energizing sequences to step the motor. The
Visual Basic software is used to program the motor movemen

ABSTRACT
Today in the world, there is a lot of demand for energy that can benefit our daily lives.
There are many resources available for energy generation, such as coal, natural gas and
nuclear. Among these resources, coal has been commonly used in thermal power plants
about 41% of the worldwide energy supply. However, these kinds of fuels are also cause a
large pollution to our environment. So in view of the crisis of current situation, there is a
need to explore and use the available alternative or clean resources.
This project focuses on studying and trying to design a hydrogen gas wet cell. This
hydrogen or HHO gas generator uses the principle of electrolysis to split water into its two
molecules, hydrogen and oxygen, in gas form, this gas is also identified brown gas. It is
actually an electrolysis unit having high grade stainless as electrodes and mixture of water
and suitable ionic solution KOH as electrolyte.
This project are going to conduct the experiments to investigate the effects of
electrolysis process variables such as current, voltage, amount of the electrolyte used in the
electrolysis unit etc., on the content of hydrogen gas produced.

ABSTRACT
In 1919, the physicist Albert Betz showed that for a hypothetical ideal wind-energy
extraction machine, the fundamental laws of conservation of mass and energy allowed no
more than 16/27 (59.3%) of the kinetic energy of the wind to be captured. This Betz' law
limit can be approached by modern turbine designs which may reach 70 to 80% of this
theoretical limit.
In addition to aerodynamic design of the blades, design of a complete wind power system
must also address design of the hub, controls, generator, supporting structure and foundation.
Further design questions arise when integrating wind turbines into electrical power grids.

dusty colour by dust. The idea of water spray from a very high height tails in
Haj and Umra places in the kingdom of Saudi Arabic is developed in order to
find an appropriate technique for settling the dust from air in the
environment. This inexpensive design has been developed and fabricated in
this project for this demand. The operation of air cleaning from the dust
particles was carried out by using high pressure water pumps for forcing the
water through eight nozzles. More details are explained thoroughly in its place
in this project. During the first semester, only the device designing and
fabrication were performed. In addition, the test room (lab) was prepared to
be tight and no leakage might take place to ensure the precise estimations.
