The key to larger profits with TightWire is in labor savings.

Typically, a large amount of installation time is used to weld

the mounting brackets to the building. TightWire’s unique

design allows hanger spacing of 10 feet, instead of the

usual 5 feet, by tensioning the system from each end, using

heavy springs. Thus, the “tightwire” name. The time and cost

of installing mounting brackets and hangers is cut in half.

In addition, TightWire speeds up installation with its one-piece

design. All conductors are preassembled in a one-piece

extruded insulator. This assembly is supplied in a roll with

no joints, to the exact total length needed for each project.

10-foot single bars, joint pins, screws and covers are eliminated.

Installation steps: 1 Tightwire comes in a roll, (about 4 feet diameter,

and 55 pounds per 100 feet) to the exact lengthrequired for each project. Set up the coil on a lift platform.

2 Connect one dead-end assembly to the endsupport. Attach the conductors to the assembly.Install 3 or 4 conductors all in one piece!

3 Unroll the conductorasse as the lift platform ismoved down the hoist runway. Connect onehanger every 10 feet, with a wrench. Snap the conductors into the hanger.

4 At the other end, attach the conductors to the other dead end assembly.

5 Tighten the dead end spring tensions with awrench. The conductors will become straight and strong.

6 Attach the power collector to the hoist or crane.7 Connect the power feed cables to the end feed

lugs, and operate the system!

The simplicity and speed of installation means more to the

Trolley With Retractable Wheels Enclosed Multi-conductor systems require the trolleys to be inserted or removed at a trap

door location, at the end of the run, or by bending the bottom of the box track and forcing

the trolley out. PowerGlide finally solves this limitation with an innovative trolley design

(patent pending).

PowerGlide’s PowerPickup trolley has wheels which retract, allowing the unit to be inserted

or removed anywhere along the run! With the twist of a knob, the

trolley becomes narrow enough to fit in the opening

Hoist Electrification: TightWire is ideally designed

for hoist applications. 3 or 4 conductor, 50 or 90 amp

systems are available. Compact design, low-friction

collectors make TightWire right-sized for hoists.

Overhead Cranes: The 90 amp, 3 conductor

electrification is the most common electrification system

overhead cranes. TightWire 90 amp 3-bar will change the

way you think for crane electrification, instead of using

the conventional 8-bar design consisting of a single, steel

bar with joints. TightWire and PowerGlide are 600 volt

rated, UL pending.

Aircraft Hangar Doors, Outdoors:PowerGlide raises the standard for hangar doors, outdoor

and wet environments, and situations where extra protection

is needed for the conductor bars. The aluminum box track,

and optional flexible sealing strips provide additional

shielding to the conductors.

Work Station Cranes: Eliminate cumbersome,

low-hanging festoons and “tag lines” on floor-mounted

hoists and cranes with TightWire. 50 amp conductor

size saves space and money. Low resistance collectors

allow easy manual movement of hoist.

Moving Electrical Equipment: Any type of

moving electrical equipment can benefit from TightWire

and PowerGlide, such as transfer cars, automated storage

& retrieval cranes, shuttles, conveyors, robots, amusement

rides, displays, etc. It is ideal for main power as well as

control lines. PowerGlide’s aluminum housing and sealing

strips protect electrical parts from debris.

Tensioned End Assemblies: TightWire system

is made strong and tight, with the end assemblies, shown.

Heavy springs on all-thread rods are anchored to end

support brackets. Tension is applied to the system by

tightening the rods.
