SCHOOL DISTRICT PUBLICATIONS/NEWS MEDIA USE

The occasion may arise when the school district wants to recognize your child or

your child's school. This may include your child's photo, your child's name or your

child's work in district publications, newsletters, on school district websites, and in

electronic/social media or in staff training videos. We may also want to tell the

media (including newspapers, television, and radio) about your child's achievements.

We never knowingly release information about a student to anyone who wants to

use it for commercial/political purposes. However, we will honor your request to

not include your child in these types of recognitions if you notify your child's school

office in writing that you do not want this type of information released.

This school year the Boys & Girls Club will continue after school programs as

in the past. The YMCA will also offer both before and after school care to

Liberty Park students. For additional information please check out the

YMCA website:

If you picked up a Student Care Plan at registration for chronic medical conditions such as asthmas or seizures, those need to be returned to Nurse Kelli as soon as possible.

This Week’s Bucket Filler…

Colin Duncan Colin, a fourth grader, is our Bucket Filler of the Week! Colin gave the t-shirt

that he caught at our CORE pep rally to another student who was disappointed

about not having one. Thanks, Ethan, for making Liberty Park the kind of place

where people look out for each other and makes filling buckets a top priority!

Student Rights and Responsiblies Handbooks are

available throughout our school and district’s website.

You are invited to be a PAC Parent!

Does your child ever take too much time to do homework… need an extra boost of self-esteem…use social media…or choose not to follow your directions? As a parent, do you ever feel like you could use some support from other parents who have the same concerns with their children as you? If so, you are encouraged to register for our upcoming PAC (Parents are the Core) sessions. Throughout the 2014-15 school year, six sessions will be offered for parents. Topics include: how to determine what makes your child special and strategies for building these strengths, homework tips, discipline, your child and social media, and information Warren Township parents need to know. The sessions will be held from 600-7:30 p.m. at school throughout the school year. Free supervised activities will be offered for children, ages 5-12, who attend with their parents. PAC Kids is open only to children whose parents are attending PAC. Activities will include crafts, computer games and activities, game nights, gym activities, fun projects, snacks, and entertainment. The first session is scheduled for Thursday, August 14 at 6:00 p.m. To register, complete the form sent home at Registration or during the first week of school and return it to school by the due date. If you are unable to attend the session at our school, the topics will be offered at every other Warren Township elementary and intermediate academy. Call the school office or check the Warren Township website for this information.
