Overall system enhancements Infor Distribution FACTS Version 7.8 is a major release

with a variety of enhancements that maximize speed

and optimize usability across the entire system. The

result is improved processes and streamlined

functionality, allowing users to become more

productive and more efficient.

Advanced inventory

management • Replenishment controls updated automatically,

daily

• Daily usage buckets instead of monthly

• Purchasing Line – defines group of items typically

purchased on the same PO

• Flexible control parameters; smart setup and

maintenance

• Implementation of best practices inventory

management concepts based on Grant Howard’s

work including:

o 5-hi average sales quantity, threshold minimum

o Seasonal trending and lead time advance

o Hit ranking

o Safety days (in addition to safety percent)

Buyer’s control center

• Puts all buyer’s activity/information in one place

• Automatically prioritizes the purchasing line

• Generate POs from the control center

• Meet buying targets intelligently – keeps purchase

line in balance

Additional upgrades Version 7.8 delivers new features and expanded

functionality to optimize productivity and profitability.

Exception control center

• Presents exceptions as they occur

• Allows proactive corrections

• Gap analysis

• Find items that will arrive too late for expected

Customer returns

• Now in a graphical user interface (GUI)

• Simplified setup and entry

• Connected to vendor returns

• Consolidation of returns from multiple customers

• Consolidation can be to a separate warehouse

Vendor returns – This feature enables the connection to

customer returns allows delay of refund/return to

customer based on vendor action.

Cost discrepancy handling – Allows for unlimited cost

layers with tracking of impact to GL and corrects GL

when actual cost differs from received cost.

External resource manager – Store any kind of

document and link to a customer, vendor or item and

secure access to the internal documents.

Service and repair Infor has added new features and functionality

throughout Service and Repair including:

• Now in a graphical user interface (GUI)

• Ticket close incorporated into order confirmation

• Streamlined time entry – view/update time for

entire ticket

• All forms captured in UnForm Document Archiving

International addresses • Three address lines

• Expanded address fields – 35 characters each

• Expanded City (35) and State (4)

• Country field added

• All standard ISO countries and states pre-loaded

and available

Spanish language availability – This optional feature

will be available soon after the initial 7.8 release. A user

can choose to view select core module screens in

Spanish. Additionally a customer can be flagged to print

their invoices in Spanish.

User interface Infor The user interface has been updated to Infor’s

new UI standard and provides a consistent,

sophisticated user experience. The enhanced look-

and-feel, streamlines overall usability with

improvements to screen layouts, placement of controls,

and a new color scheme throughout.
