6th Period Algebra 1

Exit Ticket Comments

7/23/2012

• How advanced will our work get?

• I hope we get to trigonometric ratios. Does that mean anything to you?

• I worry I might fail.• If you get close, I’ll do my

best to keep you above the line. You have to do your part by doing what I ask and trying your best.

•Do you have your name tent in front of you yet?

• I’m going to hate waking up early.

• Yes, getting back into the routine is going to be hard. I get up at 6:00am. When do you get up?

• Class looks blank.• I don’t have a lot of stuff on

the walls. In one class, a student complained that the bird was a distraction. Some people can’t handle a lot of stuff around them.

• Have you turned in your Integer Review to the mail slot over there?

• Hint: Find the Turning In column and your period

• What was your favorite subject in school?

• I really enjoyed both math and English. I despised (super super hated) physical education. (Maybe that’s why I’ve gained weight.) Hmmm.

• I like your blue flamingo.

• It’s actually my 20 year old son’s. I stole it from him when he moved away.

•ACK! There’s a quiz? YES, there’s a quiz!

•Take this time to prepare – ask questions!

• What will we learn this year?

• Algebra, silly! No, you’ll learn how to think and how to solve problems. You’ll become more confident in your ability to figure out the world around you.

• Favorite movie: 21 Jumpstreet. I like Algebra.

• I didn’t see that movie. I watched the TV show decades ago…

• Class needs more color.

• What do you suggest?

•After the quiz, you will be taking notes (I’ve done most of the work for you – this time.)

• Do you have a clock?

• Yes, it’s on the back wall, between station 2 and 3.

• I scared to get lost in this big freaking castle.

• Just be out before they chain the doors! O.o

• Need more posters on the walls.

• You’re supposed to be looking at your paper or the white board! Don’t make me get my whip out!

•How can you find out what our agenda is for today?

•Hint: it’s over there

• How much homework will we have?

• You’re going to hate this answer… Homework is practice for improving skills. I only give it for that purpose – not busy work. So, it depends on your skills!

• This class seems easy.

• I hope you keep feeling that way.

•Did you bring supplies? THANK YOU! Put them on the appropriate shelf by the back door.
