    Strokes IV on the

    wayJulian Casablancas has announced that theas yet untitled new Strokes album has beenrecorded. The album now just needs to bemixed and it will be ready for release inSpring 2011.Speaking via his personal Twitter account,the New York singer wrote in reply to aquestion about the new albums progressStill not going to be out for a few months-mixing, etc, but JUST finally finished it yes-terday actually!?. This news was thenbacked up by Strokes bassist Nikolai Fraiturecommenting YES! It's true. Strokes IV isDONE!! Let's go party.The album will mark the bands return to themusic scene, after a five year break sincetheir last release, 2006s First Impressions ofEarth. Each band member has taken on soloprojects during the time, with Casablancasreleasing his own album, Phrazes for theYoung, in 2009. The new album will be thefourth studio album released by the band,which made its name on the music industrywith the highly rated debut album, Is This It,in 2001.

    Spidermanmusical hits newsetbackThe Spiderman musical due to hit Broadwayin 2011 has hit a new setback, after an actorfell from 20 feet during a live dress rehearsal.Actor Christopher Tierney was rushed tohospital after the fall, in a new incident thatjoins a long list of problems the productionhas encountered.Tierney suffered four broken ribs, a bruisedlung, three cracked vertebrae, and a hairlineskull fracture.The 31 year old actor underwent surgery,

    with his family commenting that he is doingwell in recovery.The musical that has been written by U2band members Bono and The Edge has beenplagued by accidents and delays, and this lat-est incident will only increase the onset ten-sion.In the past weeks of rehearsals, several ac-

    tors have been seriously hurt by falling froma height, with healthy and safety a growingconcern now between actors.

    Rocker Chuck Berry is recovering aftercollapsing on stage at concert in Chicago.The 84 year refused to go to hospital, afterhe was seen to fall onto his piano mid song.Berry continues to tour despite his age, andhas recently completed tours across Europeand America.The singer returned to the stage after the in-cident, but was too weak to continue play-ing. Berry, famous for hits such as Johnny BGoode, spoke to the crowd to explain thesituation, and apologise for not being ableto continue.Speaking to the Chicago tribune, the veter-ans agent commented All I know is he feltfaint, he felt weak, and I was told to call 911,15 minutes into the set it went from fine tosomething wasn't right.

    Grohl: Newalbum is doneDave Grohl has confirmed that the FooFighters have finished recording their latestalbum, and it is ready for mixing.The album is due to be released in theSpring, with the band headlining major fes-tivals across Europe in promotion of thework.Grohl, speaking to Radio One, said Thereare 11 songs and front to back there's notone sleepy ballad, we did it without anycomputers and it just sounds massive.Fans of the band will be happy to hear thenews that the band is returning to the outand out rock sound that can be found onthe bands earlier efforts. The album willmark the bands first release since 2007 effortEchoes, Silence, Patience and Grace.Former Nirvana producer Butch Vig hasproduced the record, the first time Grohlhas worked with the producer since he waspart of the band in the early 1990s.The band made their live comeback with asurprise gig in America.The Foos were joined onstage by formerNirvana band members Krist Novoselic andPat Smear, with the band previewing someof the new material found on the as yet un-titled album.Foo Fighters are set to headline the Isle ofWhite Festival, as well as T in the Park whichis held in Scotland.
