nFPa 70E Electrical Safety in the WorkplaceThis course is applicable for employees who face a risk of electrical hazards. Students will be able to understand the specific hazards associated with electrical energy and possible injury that can occur. The course will complement the employers responsibility as stated in NFPA 70E, Section 110.2 training requirements applicable to new hire, qualified person, unqualified persons and the employee three year refresher training. Prerequisites: Students should have a basic knowledge of employers written electrical safety program, tools used on the job and completed the employers new hire training. Course materials include current NFPA 70E 2015 edition, handouts and completion certificate.

MEdiC FiRSt aid® CPR instructor development Course This is a one day training session for people who want to offer training to their fellow employees, community and general public. The course will give you the skills needed to effectively make formal presentations using the new G2010 instructional materials and techniques. Students receive an instructor’s kit. Prerequisites: A current MEDIC FIRST AID CPR-First Aid provider completion card.

F Feb. 13 or May 15 or aug. 14 8 a.m.-5 p.m. $695. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) instructor development This course provides level 1 skills training to health, safety and environmental professionals, as well as HSE training professionals in the petroleum industry, municipalities, utilities, research and development laboratories, transportation, paper/pulp/food processing and chemical manufacturing companies. This is intensive and comprehensive training designed to develop knowledgeable and competent instructors in H2S safety. Through lectures, group discussions, hand-on exercises, equipment demonstrations and student participation with current H2S technology, each participant should be able to gain the knowledge required to conduct effective training events for a wide variety of potential audiences, with the emphasis placed on the end-users who are required to work in potentially hazardous H2S environments. This H2S instruction program follows the ANSI/ASSE Z390.1-2006 (R2010) accepted practices for hydrogen sulfide training standard, as well as relevant current American Petroleum Institute recommended practices as the primary training criteria. The program incorporates federal and state H2S regulatory standards and other applicable established industry standards. A certificate and H2S certification card will be presented upon successful completion of the course and a passing score. Recertification for current hydrogen sulfide (H2S) instructors is required every three years. Call to be placed on a waiting list.
