YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH – GRADE 6 PURPOSE PREP FACILITATOR WORKSHEET GUIDE PURPOSE STATEMENT FROM DISTRICT: Today, we are going to begin Purpose Prep as a class. This is meant to empower each of you to learn how to become a better human, to collaborate in meaningful discussions with your family and peers, and to establish a positive culture, both here, in the classroom, and in your homes. Our school, staff, and leaders believe in your potential, and we are excited about investing in your success and well-being. This is why we are setting aside time and energy to learn about happiness, foster your health, and help you to realize your potential, both for your future, and in your current relationships. In order to accomplish these goals, we need to cultivate an environment of respect, engagement, and commitment; but we are confident that when you fully open your mind and heart to the activities, you will find a greater sense of identity, clarity, and connection with your family and peers. PURPOSE STATEMENT FROM DISTRICT:Today, we are going to begin Purpose Prep as a class. For each instructional video, begin by introducing the video name and the Purpose Expert using the bios in the Purpose Prep Expert Guide. Then play the Purpose Prep lesson video. Facilitate in-class discussion utilizing the following questions that correspond to the lesson video below. Be sure to implement the strategies for meaningful classroom discussion and engagement found in the Purpose Prep Routines Guide, Facilitator Guide, and other training resources.

In the “Facilitator Notes” column for each lesson below, please write down any lesson planning notes, such as start/end time and date, ideas, creative assignments, or observation notes from the classroom discussion, such as engagement levels or notable life lessons.
