Florida Standards Assessment

The Florida Standards in Mathematics and English Language

Arts were approved by the Florida State Board of Education

in February 2014 and will be fully implemented in grades

K–12 in the 2014–2015 school year. All Florida schools will

teach the Florida Standards, and the Florida Department of

Education (FDOE) has contracted with the American Institutes

for Research (AIR) to develop and administer new statewide

assessments. These assessments will provide parents,

teachers, policy makers and the general public with

information regarding how well students are learning the

Florida standards.

4th Grading Period Expectations!

Learning:

1. Listen and focus in class.

2. Do all assigned school and homework.

3. Be respectful and kind.

4. Put forth effort to continue to learn and grow.

Behavior:

Any disrespectful behavior will result in an office

referral, no field trips and elimination for 5th

grade completion activities and program. We

expect all 5th graders to maintain respectful

learning focused behavior!

Please talk with your child about acting and

doing their best for their last grading period in

elementary school. What your child practices
