ABOUT5280 Live started in 2008 as company solely focused on helping the City of Denver develop it’s keynote Denver Theatre District. Their responsibilities were to engage patrons of the Denver Performing Arts Center and surrounding businesses to stay longer by providing free street-level art, music, and cultural entertainment. Following the success of that project, 5280 Live expanded into a full time creative vitality consulting firm who provides a wide breadth of municipalities and business organizations with innovative and interactive projects that serve to create brand awareness and stimulate economic growth.

Our cultural programming efforts encompass a broad range of regional talent, reflecting the rich heritage within the city and its residents. We take those elements which make a geographic region unique and turn them into marketing and community assets.

The diverse spectrum of artistic genres—including musical performances, visual art installations, dance troupe showcases, and more—help to support the economic climate of the region and connect your city’s or company’s brand with culturally relative events that your patrons can interact with and appreciate.

5280 Live are one of the most creative groups of individuals that I've worked with. Each of their project con- cepts and execution is consistent with the Denver Theatre District's goals and mission. The company has a thorough understanding of city policy, economic development, marketing and cultural entertainment, which makes them a top- notch partner for cities looking to expand their creative sector. As importantly they are true professionals, going above and beyond their engagement parameters on every project. The Denver Theatre District would not be the success that it is without 5280 Live. I would recommend them highly and without qualification. - David Ehrlich marketing director Denver Theatre District

CREATIVE VITALITY INDEXCurrent research by economists such as Richard Florida and Western States Arts Federation indicate that a region’s economic health and growth is directly related to the vitality of its creative sector.

The Creative Vitality Index™ (CVI) is a quantitative measurement of the eco- nomic health of a city’s creative sector. The data measures the per-capita spending in both for- profit and non-profit sectors within a region’s creative industry. A high CVI indicates that a region is more “livable,” thus attracting more talent, start-up busi nesses, investors and tourism.

Increasing that CVI is 5280 Live’s mission. We do this by connecting a region’s white collar world, with their no-collar world.

5280 Live has the capacity to bring artists, business people and politicians together to work towards one goal - create a better living environment for all.

DISTRICT DEVELOPMENT The Denver Theatre District (DTD) is a 16 block area in the heart of downtown Denver. It was conceived in early 2008 to add energy and light to the region while sup-porting public arts initiatives. Acting as a self-funding district that supports art and entertainment via signage revenue, the DTD is a 501c3 operating with a board of directors representing both city and private organiza-tions.

5280 Live is their primary activation partner - respon-sible for using signage revenue to develop free public entertainment.
