Output DIP switch selects 12V or 5V power that is supplied at terminals “+V” and “Cm” for the encoder.

HTL/TTL DIP switches

Set the position of the DIP switches based on the type of encoder signal used. You must set all switches to the same position.

Wiring the Incremental Encoder

How to Remove the Encoder

Maximum Wire Size Minimum Wire Size Torque

2.08 mm2 (14 AWG) 0.08 mm2 (28 AWG) 0.18...0.22 N•m (1.56...1.9 lb•in)

Hold the top of the encoder firmly

Pull out the encoder as shown

IMPORTANT Do not remove the encoder from the bottom as it might damage the encoder and the locking mechanism on the control module.

(1) When using 12V Encoder power, 24V I/O power, maximum output current at I/O Terminal 11 is 50 mA.(2) If Encoder requires 24V power, it must be supplied by an external power source.
